When Kiara and Kovu had their first litter, it was no wonder at least one of the cubs would look like a past relative, and it happened. The only girl of the litter, Furaha, was born with an uncanny resemblance to her grandmother, Nala. Of course, a few older lions had seem quite the resemblance between her and Scar, but Simba didn’t catch this at first.

Even after a few weeks the cubs were born, the old King still couldn’t unsee the resemblance between his granddaughter and deceased mate. He loved her, but it felt like a constant reminder… that he was now alone.

Yep, Nala died before she could see Kiara’s kids in my HC. I think that her death would’ve been faster because of the wounds she got from the War against Outlands.
On the very least, Nala died surrounded by her family.
