Yin and Yang are balance; they are not supposed to fight. The idea of them "fighting" is purely western deviation from the Taoist philosophy of two polar opposites operating together and coexisting to create life.
Tui and La (the fish from in the North Pole's sacred grounds) is a more accurate representation of the philosophy

I don't think Raava and Vaatu were meant to represent the Yin and Yang. Raava specifically represents light and peace while Vaatu represents darkness and chaos. They're neither good nor evil, they're both essential to nature (and that's the only Taoist theme of their dynamic). The Raava/Vaatu thing leans more towards Hinduism and Zoroastrianism and Indo-Aryan theology (where there is conflict between the natural forces).

Is it possible for the avatar to have both raava and vaatu inside of them. I dont know just curious if the avatar would be perfectly balanaced to have both the light and dark spirits inside of them to archive balance in the mortal and spirit world?

I don't think it is very possible for the human body to take that since they 'fight' a lot of times and their power is really big. On the other hand, good and bad are in all of us. Some struggle really hard with that...but they live. So idk...

I think a person who is avoid or could not understand the concepts of good and evil can obtain the powers of both Raava and Vaatu.
