Yeah, I haven't had much cooking lately, but here's some tanks I put together in lego digital designer. Obviously there's hundreds of different tank models across the galaxy, so this is more of a general overview of general design aesthetics and technology - so these are the general clades of armored deathmachine rather than species or even genera.

Now some in-universe lore, from left to right:

The Vigilance is a series of stealth AFVs (armor fighting vehicles) of venomairie origin. The 45 ton hull is covered in active protection and detection countermeasure systems optimized against large volumes of lightweight projectiles, making it near-invincible against debris and small-arms-fire but defenseless should a hostile vehicle acquire them, forcing a reliance on evasion and stealth. The turret carries two turreted guns, one coaxial anti-air autocannon, one coaxial missile launcher, and a ferrofluid main railgun with sufficient muzzle velocity to strike targets before their kinetic defenses has time to react and engage even if they would be strong enough to otherwise deflect the blast.

The human Basilisk uses an individually articulated quad-track design, with each pod easily removed and collapsed into the structure for compact storage and transport, as well as fast and easy replace-repair functionality. Originally designed by the GENESES corporation, the hull structure, weapons, and drive mechanism is typical of human designs. Each track pod houses a kinetic shielding and projectile interception system, with varying absorption capacity to intercept fire incoming from the given quadrant.

The Xaikou is an amphibious MBT (main battle tank) of sobrai design pioneered by Senahi Munitions. The strong engine and relatively light mass of 22 tons allows it to float and climb in high-gravity environments, and it can submerge for brief periods of time to evade detection or incoming munitions. The turret houses autocannons similar in size and firepower to the close-in-weapons-system of most military ships, while two auxiliary machine guns provide anti-infantry protection. Lacking kinetic shielding in favor of layered composite plating, the active protection is composed of 16 laser emitters that can fry up to 24 projectiles a second.

The ichtonigian Type-552 is the primary workhorse of the Anaghor Republic's army and engineering corps, with a multitude of variants specialized for mobile ground-to-orbit batteries, field hubs for combat medicine, and every conceivable role in-between. The shielding system is weak for an armored vehicle, capable of absorbing at most 8550 N of impulse before failing and thus easily overcome by massed infantry fire, but the multiple redundant layers are more than sufficient to protect the craft and accompanying troops from shrapnel and debris.

The Eradicator is an IFV of veri'khan manufacture, using four variable-friction surfaces and the exhaust from the fusion power plant to provide agile movement in urban and industrial environments, at the cost of tolerance of rough terrain. While capable of brief flights like all other modern tanks, the thrusters are rarely used for more than a couple seconds when clearing obstacles due to the draining energy needs and extraordinary ease of detecting fusion exhaust. The 30 ton hull carries a wide suite of cyberwarfare equipment and area-effect anti-infantry weapons, while the turret mounts two autocannons and two micromissile launchers along with a directional shielding system.
