Later in life, due to a huge argument with his brother Stanley, Ford was sent to an alternate dimension where he was stuck for a long time.

Years later, the mysteries of Gravity Falls would be solved by the smartest great grandchild of Stanley Pines, Mason 'Dipper' Pines."

Later in life, due to a huge laboratory, Stanley Pines was sent to an alternate dimension where he was stuck for a long time.

Years later, the mysteries of Gravity Falls would be solved by the smartest great grandchild of Stanford Pines, Mabel Pines."

"Quite the surprise, isn't it? Mabel Pines being the smart Pines Twin instead of Dipper. One must wonder how this came to be, no? Well, as the old saying goes: It's a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Especially in the case of her Great Uncle Stanford Pines, years after a moment of self-sabotage."

"In the universe you knew, Stanley Pines accidently destroyed his brother's, Standford's, science project and ended up being banished by his greedy father, one day leading to Stanford being trapped in an alternate universe the later years. But in this universe, having been driven by paranoia and greed, Filbrick Pines sabotaged his own son's science project in attempts to blame Stanley, but to no avail when Stanley discovered what happened. Once their greedy father was out of the picture, Stanford Pines managed to get his college prep and made Stanley his assistant, such a decision that would affect his great-niece years later."

Personally, when I first saw the images of the Gravity Rises AU, I loved it, and especially how Dipper and Mabel's roles were reversed ^^
