Description
"I just don't know what went wrong!"Here's a little character I drew a year ago , Derpy Toes. She's a Fraggle version of Derpy Hooves from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.. I made her into a puppet just as a goof, and I'm pleased with how she turned out. She's got the right happy-go-dippy expression.
I'm getting faster at making puppets. Janken took me months to make. Skeeter and Shonky took about a month each. I started Derpy on Tuesday evening and I'm uploading this on Saturday.
Oh, all patterns are original. As in, I made everything by trial and error, not following patterns I downloaded from a puppet website. I'm hardcore that way.

As a fan of a certain muffin eating mare (but then who isn’t) and someone who has fond memories of re runs of fraggle rock as a child, I have to say you have done a magnificent job. She is super cute.
You should be rightly proud of your work.
One thing I have been trying to work out however. What is her hair made out of?

Thanks, I'm glad you like her!
Her hair is made of ostrich feathers. I cut the barbs off the main stem, make little bunshes of them, and hot-glue them to the head.

I would love to see how you put a fraggle together and am sure I am not alone in that. have you ever been tempted to put up a youtube video on it?

go to the Muppetcentral.com message board. I have a thread in the puppet making and performing section called "From the Foam Up" where I show a lot of my work.

When I don't have to do that dumb go-to-work-and-earn-a-living junk I can focus on what's important!

My mummeyrt or puppet building? I think the only example of my puppetry online is the footage of Shonky and Janken ringing bells I did a few weeks ago.

"mummeyrt"? Holy crap, that's one epic typo. Sometimes you practically have to be psychic to read my stuff.

I sorta translated it as " muppet art ". I tend to leave out words and stuff too. I dunno how to type so I peck really fast.

Very cool and very well done: and it is especially interesting to consider such a crossover.

Derpy has a plunger in her puppet hole? That explains the eyes.

It's a clean plunger. I'm cheap, but not cheap enough to re-use plungers.

She's adorable! I even like how you made the eyes more farther apart than the average Fraggle.

Thanks! I didn't originally intend for the eyes to be that far apart, but when I saw how it looked I decided to keep it that way. It makes her look even goonier.

WOW!! your fraggle puppets are really top notch! they really look like they popped right out of fraggle rock. Do you work for the Henson workshop or something?

Heh! Thanks, but no, I'm not a professional puppet builder. I'm just someone with a living room that's a total mess from feather and fur and foam scraps.

Thanks! Heh, everything is being ponified, so it's only just that a pony gets Fraggled.

Now I'm curious to see how some of the other ponies would look in Fraggle form. Fluttershy would make an excellent Mokey, maybe Wembley.
