Their going to have to undo the hinges and just take the connection to the lid off so they can open it. It's not like it was welded shut.

Nope that won't work if this is a travelers chest. Travelers chest often have false hinges on the outside of the chest while the real hinges are safely tucked inside out of reach of anyone trying crack it open. I know this as I own one and you need key to open it.

That's going to be difficult as there's no visible keyhole on that thing besides the two padlocks. I doubt it's a travelers chest in that way because why make it a travelers chest that can't be opened. It doesn't make sense that way. Nah it must be a similar thing to a travelers chest and needs something different to open like some kind of hidden electronic code to open it. My guess the pad locks were to keep the lid fastened until you figure out the code to unlock it. Considering how advanced the animatronics are in fnaf 2 this is very believable.

Travelers chest is a term used to desribe any box or chest used to transport valuables while someone is traveling. They were in use from about the middle ages until about the mid 20th century when people decided to leave their valuables at home when they traveled. As far as the chests go it all depends on your spending limit. The more expensive ones have false locks with the real lock hidden behind a flap that is made to look like one of the iron straps or a decorative piece. There are ones that do come with combination locks but those are hard to find as it was easy for thieves to guess the combination. If it has electronic combination locks then they might be more in a hole as I don't think the batteries could have lasted this long.

The box is tricky. Springtrap did say that cutting the locks off with a bolt cutter wouldn't work. It's sealed another way.

Hmmm maybe they were collecting tons of the evidences and hiding it cuz' ya know BOB is a crazy dude he would put fire on the place and use his economy to flee or just get arrested,who knows maybe he would choose be on prison,rather than being pursuit by policials investigators dectetives and etc...
