Previous: Next: First:Hammerspace, for those not already in the know, is the "bag of holding" space behind every cartoon character's back from which they can grab nearly anything they need. It's often a comically huge hammer, hence the name. As we've seen earlier in this comic, Springtrap's is badly organized, so he rarely gets what he wants out of it.
I love drawing Springtrap aggravated. I love drawing him with glasses. Showing him aggravated with glasses is a double-scoop of fun!
Oh, in case you can't tell, Richie is holding a Sharpie in the last panel.
Totally unrelated: This morning I was riding the bus to work. The bus driver is a talkative guy, usually about music he likes, and will monologue for most of a fairly long ride. He has a pleasant, Barry White kinda voice. Since I sit close to the front of the bus I hear a lot of it. Anyway, today he started on about kids' TV shows today versus the ones he grew up with. He sang a bit of "I'm Just A Bill," then started doing a pretty good impression of Yogi Bear. When he paused I said in what I hoped was a fair imitation of Boo-Boo's voice, "Gosh, Yogi..." The front half of the bus broke up. I love starting the day off with a laugh.

For the French version, there's a small error. it's "tarte à la crème", not "tarte à la créme". I was just pointing it out as it bugs me a lot.

If it wasn't clear that you were messing with your characters, I would otherwise imagine the streams somehow got crossed and Springtrap is reaching into another toon's hammerspace ... now I'm worried what Roger Rabbit or the Looney Tunes Gremlin is pulling out of their own hammerspace.
Also, loving these wonderful doses of unexpected wit throughout the comic! I can just hear you saying 'Ain't I a stinker!' after finishing some of these pages!
