I had a hunch his full name was Robert, Bob is/was a common nickname for it. It's a name I mused about before because of it's rhyming similarity to rabbit and robot, considering who's the character in question, it's a feat no other name could pull for him, and the highlight is it follows FNAF's animatronic naming pattern to boot.
Bonus trivia: The name Robert means "bright, famous"; hauntingly appropriate for someone who works in the show biz!

It is derived from the Latin word silva, meaning 'forest' or 'woodland'. Now i'm quite curious about the name choice for Springbob.
