Description
CLICK TO FULL VIEW**UPDATE: I no longer use Paint Tool SAI full-time and the tools and info I made this tutorial might be out of date. The technique of using brushes, transparency and layer effects should still be sound.
ALSO! Painting hair strokes in WHITE in a new layer and setting it to Luminosity 60% helps things shine!**
I did my best! Hope it helps you. Thanks to everyone for the favorites, this is one of my highest viewed pages.

I do not have info of Stablizier. I have moved on from Paint Tool SAI and I'm using another program nowadays. Sorry my tutorial might be out of date.

Hey can u help me with something? My "Selection Source" is off to the side and not underneath the "Clipping Group" Can you help?

Neillustrations In reply to webbawebba [2014-04-28 16:17:25 +0000 UTC]
If I understand right, the position of Selection Source and Clipping Group depends how wide you have your Layer Panel is set. There is a small, thick vertical line you can drag left and right to adjust how wide the Layer and preview panel is. That makes the clickable checkbox of Clipping Group and the circle of Selection Source change position.
It shouldn't impede your drawing at all so long as they are able to be clicked on and off. It's a visual user preference thing. I hope this answers your question.

Thank you very much. I lost all my previous SAI settings when I had to get a new harddrive and this has just helped me get my brush settings back to the one I used for hair before, as well as opening my eyes to other options. Thanks again

Try updating your version at the website I have listed, [link]
Download Paint Tool SAI 1.1.0 Full
I haven't done anything special, it just came with it.
Make sure to follow directions on where to put the files and how to properly license your version.

I did this update that you showed but it still says that it's a trial license? Idk how to change it to my license number. And I just bought sai today.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Neillustrations In reply to xxriotx5 [2012-09-19 05:44:50 +0000 UTC]
You have to follow instructions on the Systemax Website and it will ask for a code you'll find in SAI under Other>System ID. Put that into the website's license form. You'll download a file that you insert into the directory that SAI is installed in. That acts as the license. Then restart SAI or reboot your computer to make it work.
