So, I found a pair of old shoes (which are of the heel sort and are kinda really small) and then I saw my schools production of 'Into The Woods' where the Ugly stepmother cuts off her daughters heel and toes so she can fit her foot in the golden slipper and it got me thinking, why do women (mostly) suffer for their beauty and love or attraction towards males (or females)?And then I remembered the shoes and decided they looked a little plain and boring. So I spiced 'em up some.
Model: Myself
Blood: (drippy) Sugar glucose and red food dye, (lighter but thicker blood) gelatine, milk and red food dye.
I don't think this needs a filter, does it?

well it is obvious that the red liquid is not blood at all...but it's doesn't make photo worse. red suits everywhere

Yeah, I understand what you're talking about with the "why do women suffer for their beauty..." thing. I've been want to draw a picture based on when women would get their ribs removed so they could fit into their corsets better.

I think it's because little girls are brainwashed into thinking that physical beauty is the only thing that matters. I can't count how many times I was told (and still am) from my aunts and grandmother that "A woman should look her best no matter if it makes her uncomfortable."
Needless to say that I still ignore them to this day and wear my cargo pants, tennis shoes, and t-shirts. I'm not out to please anyone. I never cared what others thought of how my clothes presented me. I've never worn heels and never will.

How very true. I was never pressured into that sort of thing, so really, I don't know.
I just wear what I want, regardless of anyone else. I just happen to like platforms, but they're much more comfortable then heels. GO YOU!
