And by the way that was incredibly rude. I don't care if you don't like it, you may state your opinion. But to tell me that you don't want me drawing in somef way is completely out of line. I am an artist an I am allowed to express myself in any form that I please. All artists are entitled to complete freedom when it comes to creativity. Keep that sort of shit to yourself kay.

I'm sorry I really didn't mean to be rude. I do not mean any disrespect to you or what you do. I suppose it was out of line to say I hope you don't draw in this style again, but I thought it would be appropriate to say because you might care if you are driving someone away with it. Next time I will keep such thoughts to myself for you.

Keep in mind I'm not an artist who keeps a steady style to begin with. I tend to jump around quite a lot depending on what mood I am in and how I would like the piece I'm working on to 'feel.' I am never going to settle on a single style. The one that you don't like is only used to draw Cherry, since it's close to the band's actual interpretation of her and easy for me to produce.
All in all, there will be pieces you do not like, I don't expect anyone who's following me to like everything I post. But I am never going to continuously post the same sort of picture over and over again into all eternity. Right now this is what I prefer to draw. When I'm off my Studio Killers kick the fanart will stop and you'll see far less of Cherry.
For the moment though, expect a handful of fanart that looks like this.
Also I really don't care if you want to tell me if you like or dislike any of my pieces. That doesn't bother me. Just please don't directly insult how I choose to draw. It isn't constructive in my eyes and only makes me upset.

Could you explain how it was an insult? I really didn't mean it that way and I don't understand how it was.
Also I probably should've said this to begin with, I really don't like the style, but I do recognize it as being well drawn despite it not being to my tastes.

Your stating that you'd rather me not draw in that sort of way was what upset me.
From my perspective, your comment basically said, "I hate it, I hope you don't ever do it like that again."
In another example, it would be like someone going up to a cook, telling them they hate their food, and they hope they stop cooking the way they do.
The whole idea of wanting me to never do something again in terms of art is like asking me to stop learning.
I personally want to continuously try new things and experiment with new ways of drawing. It broadens my artistic views and helps me to learn different ways of coloring, proportions, etc. It's basically a wonderful way for me to practice as well as to just get out my creative energy. There are days I want to sketch and days I would rather sit and spend 5 hours shading semi-realistically and making my pieces beautiful.
I need to know how to draw 'ugly,' if you will. And drawing Cherry is one way that I am practicing getting out of my comfort zone. Because I'm not used to it, it's rather degrading hearing that someone wishes I wouldn't do it ever again; it makes me feel like I failed in experimenting with a style that I am not used to.
I'm all for opinions and constructive criticism, but wanting me to just stop, that's something I can't do, and the way you'd worded it was off-putting.
My deviantart is a timeline where I post what I draw just because I feel like it, not to please people. It is something that I keep mainly for myself, to look back at where I'd been years ago and what I'm doing presently. People's tastes are not something that influence what I will and won't draw, or how I draw. I draw to draw, I draw for myself. My watchers are just an added bonus to this site. If people want to unwatch me because they dislike what I'm doing, then by all means they can. It isn't going to change what I post unfortunately.
Regardless, your explanation of what you actually had meant cleared it up, definitely. I understand what you were trying to say.
