Backstory:
A wanna-be mechanic, she can't build a thing to save her life. She can take pretty much any invention, strip it down, and rebuild it bigger and better but can't make something original. She gets easily competitive with people who can build original machines and is constantly trying to one-up people, but always hits the wall when she's challenged to build something of her own from scratch.
She mainly works as an upgrader, finding ways to make things more efficient, smaller, and more accessible for others to use.
Her current weapon isn't her original design and she's constantly changing it and upgrading it. She gets ticked when you bring it up, and she'll always go back to trying to make blueprints for an original (which she can't make) and obsess until she needs to sleep or eat.

She'll do work for cheap but trying to weasel free tech or work out of her will only result in some broken teeth or a stripped wallet.
