Title from Sarina Paris' "Look At Us Now" but not the remix that I love. My personal favorite remix was from "Totally Dance (2001)", every song on there was A JAM
Anyways I had that song in my head this morning after many years of thinking about the album so I listened to it while coloring the last bits of her art

The early 2000's? Such a diverse sound, I LOVE IT. I'm going to see if my brother still has the "Totally Dance" CD and I'm ripping all the tracks off so I can put them on my phone. If I have a dance party it's with that album!

Backstory:
From a family of Raccoons holding Tanooki-esque powers, she was being raised as the eldest daughter. Holding the most responsibility due to her age, her main purpose is to further her powers and abilities in order to protect herself in the world at large and carry on the family abilities.
One day a large fire swept through her home town, burning almost every building it touched and not stopping. All her younger siblings were lost, along with her home. Her father and mother barely made it out, but her father's legs are scarred from the flames.
The source of the fire was a demon, absorbing it to further his powers. With the help of a few other village members she was able to strike his power source -- a gem upon his back-- and end the destruction. Shards of the gem scratched her, dissolving into her skin.
Now holding the fragments of the spirit within her, she searches for someone to help her expel it before it awakens again. This spirit is fueled by destructive fire, rage and physical dominance so you will rarely see her near a flame source bigger than a small campfire. It also only brings up horrible memories of what happened in her past.
