I like how when I sent the initial sketch to a friend to review, they suggested that I should make the breast larger.

Time: Almost 9 hours.

Waifu ship battle sim Kancolle is a game about building anthropomorphic ship girl fleet which I used to play a lot a few years back. Please don't ask me what or how about it, I forgot a lot of it. Except for the ships, I think I can remember at least 40% of their names.

Some basic notes, Hamakaze was a destroyer of Imperial Japan Navy. She was sunk by the US Air Force while defending the island of Japan. That's the gist of it. My friend likes her so I draw her.

I apologise that the quality is not on par with the artwork by the official illustrators but first times are rough. Actually, I could have invest more time into it but I just think that it's best wrapping up at the 7 hour mark if your drawing is not grand, or the scale is too small. The final minutes was for tweaking the effects and color. I can notice the gun on her left hand is wrong but it was too late when I noticed it. I cut way too many corners by simplying the design but it was very hard to find references.
