Another chibi! (I am stuck in the chibi-rut, guys.)This time it's Daniel, whom I haven't drawn ... fully at all, actually, not per computer at least.
I have the touchpad-drawn one but.. it doesn't really count.
Don't just sit there Daniel, hide somewhere;; Don't you know how many seems to be after your poor bum;;
Also, I just wanted to say thanks for all the subscribers I've gained during the last few weeks. ;u; I am so happy, thank you!

It'd be nice if you could refrain from leaving comments regarding similarities to Hetalia characters.
I didn't have any of those in mind drawing this, I only wanted to draw a nervous little Daniel. xD

Well you're currently using an icon that is made by :devKaiSuki, so you shouldn't use that one.
The person who made it is a friend of mine and I know for a fact that he doesn't want people to use it. So... It's a good idea change it xD
And as long as you credit me visibly as the creator, I suppose it is okay xD
But, to be honest. You should make one yourself instead, if you wish to have one :3

Sorry, but I just think you're taking it too seriously, and there's no reason to take it out on other people who don't feel like reading through pages of comments. Maybe you could put at least put a warning about those kinds of comments? I know that it gets a little annoying if that's the only thing they have to say about it, but no-one's trying to discredit how nicely drawn this is.

They didn't really draw the character to look exactly like another character, just following the guidelines of how one character looks from a series that happens to look a lot like another character. I'm a big fan of both series, though, I actually don't care for Lithuania from Hetalia. Which has given me a bit of an aversion to the way people draw Daniel from Amnesia because he does look very similar to Toris, especially in chibi form.
They're not really taking it too seriously, they're just putting a comment about it. I think it's just because of the fact that Toris has that hairstyle and he has more traditional clothing that could resemble the ensemble that Daniel wears in 1839 makes it just that much more... Well, similar. Hetalia was long out before this game, that is a fact. Not only that but Toris's design was official and put down. Whereas Daniel's is pure fan-based made because you don't really ever see him, do you? But yes, I'm a bit biased on how I don't like characters with this sort of look, no matter the series, but I appreciate the series and characters enough to like them regardless. Like Daniel here. Honestly I had Daniel looking different in my mind, definitely.
Either way though, yes, you're completely right about how people aren't trying to bash the art but that he happens to look similar to another character. It's still lovely artwork regardless. And I don't think you were rude at all about this, just questioning. Which you should be allowed to question or wonder about things without being bashed on like how the other people on this page have responded to you. It isn't an insult to the original design or the artist it's just that it happens to make people go 'ooh, wait. He/she looks like so and so...'. Which, in a world with this many people and entertainment... We're bound to have copies. We're going to eventually run out of custom looking characters and it's hard nowadays to do something so original. It's bound to happen and to those people who get insulted because someone's character looks like another's isn't really worth getting annoyed about.

You know that's really rude of you to say that she drew this character to look like a character she barely even know about.
Just because hetalia is ridiculously popular, that doesn't mean anything that resembles it, is drawn to look like it.
And trust me it gets very annoying getting the same disrespectful comments over and over.
Comments that just regards similarities isn't just an insult to the artist but also to the original design.
And maybe it's just me but I'd like to think people would be smarter,
that to just blurt out meaningless and ignorant comments such as these.
They shouldn't have to be spoon-fed the information by reading the other comments or seeing that in the description
the artist DOESN'T want meaningless comments such as those.
So if anything she's doing the people a favour, informing them that some artist get really offended from inputs like that.
And hopefully they would draw back from leaving similar ones to other artists.
I see your point though that it's no use to get too fired up about this.
But what it all comes down to is that people react differently.

Yeah, I see your point. The fandoms just make it all the worse and they end up comparing everything to a favorite character of theirs.
I just feel like she'd been getting frustrated at people who were leaving a simple input and hadn't thought to check the other comments. That's not entirely her fault though. Because unfortunately, people often don't think before they post comments like that. ....That's part of the reason why people will ask stupid questions that are answered RIGHT IN the artist's comments =_=

I am sorry, but please. I have gotten too many comments saying only this.
It's not a compliment to hear what you drew looks
like something else than it is, in some people's eyes.
When that's also the only thing written in the comment,
it makes many artists feel incapable of drawing anything the way they want.

Because, if you weren't aware, only stating similarities between characters is not much of a compliment.
Seeing as this is a game character, what would come out of such a comment? It's not like someone's plagiarized
