By far the closest of this concept we got is the Archie Comics. But when you made your dream roster list, you can't help but say to yourself "Let's expand this, shall we? M.U.G.E.N works but you want more of that official feel from both sides".There's another. It has a few more characters but it looks more like a quick doodle:
