It was a decision between which universe she was gona come from. you know how crossovers are. If she were a dragon from my universe she could regenerate from her barrow, long as her heart isn't destroyed so the arms would also be un necessary.

More like they have been planned up till now. My friend here helped me smooth out a lot of details. A ocupational hazard of writing a series with a different super team for every major part of the world...is that is a LOT of characters and backstory to cover, something that takes time. Frankly I only just now finished with Germany and moved on to a story in Luisiana.

Mainly just different clothing. They are both goddesses part of the 5 Chinese sacred beasts (i include the yellow dragon of the center) So their power is easily on par with Wukong.

Then again a running theme in my series is that the ancients were a lot easier to impress, and while gods like them are powerful we now have superhumans and ultra tech capable of giving them a good fight.
