I really think I'm getting the hang of this background business.
This is Daichi's true form. I'm sick of having all wolf ocs, not to mention that I don't have nearly enough poses to draw them all the time when most of my friends have wolf ocs! It's not because I'm one of those people who thinks wolves are overrated, I'm more like one of those people who likes to be different. XD
This picture took me so long though!
The border alone took at least 3 hours! Those trees on the left were really pesky. I messed up and it made me so mad I almost destroyed the entire picture!
But I caught myself in time and they look decent enough now. The sunrise/sunset (whatever =/) doesn't look as smooth as I wanted it but I still think it's pretty. I'll have to work on that as well.So tell me what you think and keep posted for the final versions of my elementals! They are quite predictable but I like them nonetheless. XD

Yeah I like this Daichi form better^^ Itβs good to have different kind of animals for your Ocs instead of just wolves or cats (some people have it like that lol {which is up to them! they can draw what they want. thatβs what is so wonderful about art! you can make it how YOU want it) ) different is always more aweosme thoughXD
The trees on the left look fine to me. Iβm glad you didnβt throw it out>.< then I wouldnβt have been able to see this amazing picture of yours

Wonderful job, the shading looks great and the background is AMAZING for drawing traditional! I'm not the best at drawing deer, so this is definitely a win!

I agree, If you payed a little more attention to the light source and where shadows would be, it would really make this picture "pop". You have a great concept, cute character, and a pretty border - why not top it all off with some beautiful yellow-orange lighting? ^^ Oh, by the way, your deer anatomy looks great!

Where abouts would the light-shading show up? Maybe you could highlight it on paint or something?

well do you know how to draw perspective? (with vanishing points?) if you make your light source the vanishing points, make lines from it to the surfaces. I hope that helps. I will send you a link............... here: [link] I hope that helps

I think you should pay more attention to shading and lighting. Look at the background, there is the sun giving red or orange light, the water is crystal blue dispite of the colourful light around.
Anyway, I really like the character and black frame, so

Yeah... The more I think about it Im finding wolves are becoming boring because EVERYONE has their fursona as a wolf... I'm considering redesigning Irret again and changing her species to something more unique...

That's awsome, but, on backrounds such as grass or trees, don't color too
smoothly. Why, because nothing is perfect, especially tree's and grass, 
Still, awsome picture, and that is just about the best border I've ever seen....
