Description
My childhood fears were not based on monsters under the bed or demons in the closet. The things that single-handedly scared me the most were shadows. To me they held many intangible terrors; always stalking, and always watching. They're the reason why today the bloody fierce looking monsters have no affect on me, but the ones that are just out of sight and always watching are the worst.Related content

I am feeling you pal... v.v I know what you have been through with that damn monster shadows...they have also been teasing me from my childhood and they are still.. ;( But i learned to live with it and fight it>

That is a mighty eerie monster you created here... lurking, waiting in the darkness, but letting you know that it could always be there, always be in the shadows. Gives me the chills - and that's a good thing

i can definitely agree with your statement above. I've been looking through the pictures for this contest from the very beginning and although it seems you didn't spend 10+ hours on this picture, it still captures a scarier concept and portrays fear very well. In my opinion it's a better submission than a lot of these "painter pros" who draw the really gruesome creatures.

This scares me even to this day. I'm always scared that I'll see some phantom/dark shadow appearing somewhere like my kitchen or bedroom, just like you drew.

On a technical level, I'm thinking, "meh." But actually, everything about this creeps the sh*t out of me! It looks like a normal photo that was photobombed by a creepy shadow at 3:00 AM. The eyes are completely expressionless, but it also seems to be offering a seat to you. It's kind of like one of the original slenderman photos.

Gah, I can't stop reading this comment! Yeah, it is meant to be somewhat simple and crude; sometimes the simplicity of things makes it scarier... To me at least. Either way, thank you for the awesome comment

I know how that goes. I live on the bottom floor of my building, and the windows are right at ground floor, making it easy to stop and peek in from the outside.
