This is my last creature, it´s made of needle felted and polymer clay (Super Sculpey), painted with acrylics and pastels.I´ve created a little world indoors again to take the photos, this time I´ve added some digital effects to improve the atmosphere.

The body reminds me of Howl Owl from the Haffertee Hamster books, with a potato-people's face from Dark Crystal. Those are two really sweet things put together. Yours in one of my favorite galleries I've seen on all of DeviantArt. So much happiness!!!

Wow! This is fantastic! Reminds me of those old Jim Henson movies. Specifically The Dark Crystal. The scenery and character are perfectly matched. And the photography skills of your other half do great justice to your hard work!
I would love to see you both compile these wonderful, enchanting pictures together, and write a story about the creatures and their world. It would make a great fantasy story book, like the kind we all read when we were kids. It would be awesome!!

Jim Henson was one of the most inspiring people on t.v. A great artist, and entertainer. I love everything he made, from The Dark Crystal, to The Muppet Show, to Fraggle Rock! Everything he touched was gold! And the fact that you've been able to learn from him and apply that to your own work means that you too will inspire many others!
Good luck with the books and animation, I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job of it. Especially with your trusty partner by your side all through!

Indeedeths XD Me too... Its just so dreamy and happy and lvoely.. I'd LOVE to live with elves and gnomes and fairies... It would be just soo nice and happy XD
haha i'll be sure to watch them and convey my opinion to you! XD The thing aboutt eh 80s was that, the special effects werent all that good and so the resortation to actual models ect. Just made everything seem somewhat more realistic.. D: I hate modern special effects XD

I'm always wondering why the hell they don't mix the old good special effects with a perfect planification as in Alien or Blade Runner, and use the new ones only when is necessary, as Guillermo del Toro does. I have a problem watching movies lately, I don´t feel into the story forgeting for a moment that I´m watching a movie, and I usually I get bored

IKR?!!!!!! Yeah his films are AWESOME... Oh my gosh, Pans Labyrinth was just AMAZING. XD ME TOO!!!! I thought I was the only one, but awesome! I just reaally dont like how the movie companies today have strayed from the almost realism that made them what they were.. The only films I watch are Tim Burton or Henry Selick directed - Like Coraline - That was rather good XD Wbu??

I love Henry Selick too, I'm a huge fan of stop-motion animation and I loved Coraline, also I love Aardman Animations, I can´t wait to watch The Pirates! looks awesome! if you like it too, check out their production blog, you can see lots of character designs and amazing animation sets [link]
I also like watch Tim Burton but I don´t like all his movies, Alice in Wonderland disappointed me a lot, my favorite movies directed by him are Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood and The Nightmare Before Christmas, I also love his book The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy
I think the only modern fantasy movies I like are directed by Guillermo del Toro, Pan's Labyrinth is fantastic and I also like Hellboy I and II, I love to watch the "making of" in the DVD, I´d kill for work on one of his movies haha XD. Prometheus by Ridley Scott looks pretty awesome too, I hope it will not disappoint me.
But I love all kind of styles in movies, I love Quentin Tarantino and of course Hayao Miyazaki, that is another of my biggest inspirations
