I'd like to believe in Gods and Aliens and all that jazz, but I believe in facts, so no matter what argument is thrown at me for either of the latter, I say "Where'e the proof?" Haha, shuts them right up most the time.

I find aliens far more believable and likely than a god. Granted, that is just the existence of extraterrestrial life, not the litty guys buzzing earth in flying saucers and picking up people to shove rods up them bums. The UFO nuts are just plain nutty and I think Freud has some wonderful commentary about the whole fascination with anal probing...

Hmm yes, I do share the feeling that it'd be nice to be able to believe in gods, but after years of trying to force myself to do it, I just was not able to. Aliens seem far more probable, though while my husband is of one opinion that they are here, that they are visiting, and that there is a conspiracy theory to hide that they've been here among governments - I'm of the opinion that it's pretty unlikely, at least to me, that they've visited the earth. I don't necessarily believe it when people say they have been 'abducted,' and I can't be certain that UFOS are real or not, but eh who knows - in that regard, maybe anything's possible.
And yay! I'm glad - the font's name is Timeportal - I thought it fitting for this one since it seems like people want us to go back to a time when people thought the world was flat, that sickness was caused not by germs but by sins and demons, and when witches were worth burning.

Very rewarding discussion, but when it came to the complete lack of evidence it was sort of like slamming your forehead into a brick wall.
Said person also believed secular humanism to be a religion, and disbelieved "insterspecies" evolution, too.

Haha, wow that's so... not him, though! I was watching another doco of his tonight, the one where he takes on alternative medicine like homeopathy. He really is very polite, but I don't see how that's a bad thing. It's good when he lays the smackdown, but it's not like, BOOYAH. YEAH. It's more like, oh, caught that guy there!
