If you do what it's right on who you want to be yourself, why--God throws you down to hell or kill you for being gay and haven't done anything to anybody
c:
Satan shows that being yourself is ok. Feeling Wrath, Envy, Lust and all that of the Deadly Sins is ok, it's normal, except at killing or raping, he punishes you for that.(Idk about Gluttony, it's pretty much a stupid type of sin :/ )

And btw, I'm an atheist, not a satanist, though, that's what I always think on that what they do. *shrug*

satan led me into a place of spiritually confused darkness.
satan led me to pray to and communicate with (what i later figured out were) demonic forces that played with my emotions.
satan misled me with false spiritual visions.
satan led me into physical violence with others - anywhere from smacking someone's head off a table to full-out fights.
satan led me into misanthropy.
satan led me to communities of "spiritual" people, where i was in near-constant arguments, and ended with a horrible failed relationship.
satan misled me on various spiritual subjects, leading me to be afraid of forces such as what you likely call "ghosts", or "spirit guides".
satan led me to distort certain Bible verses to fit things the Bible was clearly denouncing, and my life became an emotional trainwreck as a result.

God led me away from all that.
God helped me realize the truth of those false visions.
God helped me to love, and to pray for my enemies, instead of fighting them or just telling them to go to Hell - as i once did.
God has led me to friendly people with whom i can speak on friendly terms, and not worry about arguments.
God helped me to become brave, to overpower those negative forces through His strength, rather than fear them.
God took away the disgusting blackness that was slowly suffocating my life.

i just explained which is which. surely you don't think that lies, confusion, violence, and misery are good. and surely you do think truth and strength are good, so it's pretty clear which one is evil, and which one is good.

"What if Satan was a Patsy?"

--
WARNING; To those of you brave enough to reply to this comment, be advised;
The following comment does NOT make me a Satanist; that would imply that I actually believe that either of them exist, and were stupid enough to worship either one of them.
--

Lucifer was Set Up. God created him to BE the Devil. From what I've read, Lucifer was the most beautiful and loved of all of the Arch Angels; he was God's favorite. But then, at some point, Lucifer decided that he wanted to be greater than God. If God really was all powerful he would know that Lucifer - as an Angel he created - poses no threat to overthrowing him. So this starts a Civil War in Heaven and Lucifer and his rebels are cast down to Hell.

So what are the flaws in this story? Well from the SAME sources that I've read about this topic, Angels have absolutely NO Free Will. Why? Because that's what separates them from Mankind and why Free-Will is such a BIG Part of Human Life. Man has the choice to accept God or ignore him...But Angels were BORN to be servants. Anything that God tells them, Angels must do without question. So...Out of all the other Mindless Angels, how is it that Lucifer is able to have enough Free Will to turn on God? How is it that he's able to be praised above all the other angels, when the other Angel's main priority is to praise God? - Seriously, THAT'S a rule; love God above all else.

There are only two answers to this paradox. It means that One; Lucifer was born different. Meaning that God - who created him - wanted him to be different, and thereby WANTED him to rebel and become the Devil. Or Two; Lucifer has the ILLUSION of Free-Will, which is what I find MORE likely. God is (purportedly) All-Knowing; he knows the path that everyone is going to take, and supposedly all the events and choices people make in their lives are all part of God's plan. That essentially means that "If it Happened, God WANTED it to Happen." So...Is there any Free-Will at all? No...Only the Illusion of Free Will; and that's what Lucifer is under here.
God manipulated the circumstances in his life, to serve his purpose of becoming the Devil. And why did God want the Devil? Well there's actually two reasons.

1; God needed a Contrast. God probably realized that he couldn't be the "Good Guy" if there wasn't a "Bad Guy." So he created a Negative Equivalent to make himself look better by comparison. And all the while, he put the Contrast in a Negative Situation, a Negative Connotation and a Negative purpose in existence. Lucifer is supposedly there so that free will can exist. When you exercise your free will, you go to hell. When you blindly do what you're told, you get to go to heaven.
2; God. Needed. A Warden. I imagine that if God KNOWS exactly who is going to Hell as part of his plan, I assume that those who are going to Hell, are the ones God considers "Undesirables"; people that he doesn't want to get into heaven, and instead wants to throw away into a burning inferno. So he created the Devil to rule over Hell and the souls that go there, like the Warden of a Jail.

Another reason why I think the Game is Rigged and that Lucifer only has the Illusion of Free Will, is because what I have been told about the conflict between God and Lucifer is that, they both want the most souls to join their side; essentially they're the Political Leaders of Two Countries, who want to increase their population, and thereby increasing their political power. And yet only ONE of them sounds like a place we'd want to go through? And why? Its because all the advertizement for both places is coming from Heaven's Side. And in advertizement of Monopolistic Competition are meant to do ONE thing; Make THEIR Product (Or Location) look GOOD by making their Opposition look BAD. That's what I see it as now. It's Heaven Propaganda!
And it proves that Lucifer has no will of his own, because if he did then he would change Hell to not reflect what God was saying it was. He would make Hell BETTER than Heaven. He would make Hell the place people would WANT to go to, AND he would advertize the Hell out of it. But he can't...Why? Because he has no free Will...He...Is God's Puppet. He is a member of God's massive ensemble in a Stage Performance that spans all of creation. He is a puppet that is used to Scare the sheep into running to the safety and comfort of his OTHER puppet. (Jesus).

In Adam and Eve, Satan was the one who told them to eat the apple, which gave them knowledge AND free will. That right there proves that Satan was only trying to help people realize the evilness that they couldn't see in the serial killer named God. :/

FireFlyExposed In reply to periclipsa [2014-10-12 09:18:29 +0000 UTC]

Actually that is incorrect.
1) Satan is not the devil, the Ha Satan (or the accuser) is a a type of advocate of God and is not a bad guy. The devil was formulated between the time of the old testament and the new testament
2) It's the fruit from the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil (not the tree of knowledge). This meant that they were aware of the consequences of doing good and of doing evil. Adam and Eve already had free will before eating of the tree since they could choose to obey the command of God or to disobey (and they both chose to disobey)

Research into the allegorical / hyper literal story from Jewish telling states that a careful literal reading of the text proves that it is not to be read as a literal scientific description. What does that mean? It means that it is a story of the why of Gods creation and fall of man and that it should not be taken as a literal account.
