Description
I did the same as with Link, but although the games are named after Zelda, there are way less pictures of her. So I just collected what I could get. From left to right:
A Link to the Past, A Link to the Past *Remake, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword
Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, Ocarina of Time *3D, Majora's Mask, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures, Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks

No, she really wasn't. I'm playing it on and off with a friend right now, and there is never an image or even reference to the princess. Not trying to be a buzzkill, just stating the facts. Zelda is my favorite series and I'm reasonably knowledgeable about them, but most people probably won't notice. :]

Where did you get the full body version of Young Zelda from that OOT3D wallpaper?

Hmm. Each Zelda seems to emulate a slightly different personality. The original "LoZ" Zelda seems very young and somewhat naive, but that may be because of her art style. The OoT/MM Zelda seems pretty regal and mature for her age, while the OoS/A Zelda looks very kindhearted. The ALttP*Remake Zelda looks a little mischievous. The TP Zelda seems kind-of sad; she also looks the most adult of all her incernations. (I'm guessing she'd be in her early 20s?) The more "toon" Zeldas (from Four Swords to Spirit Tracks) all look pretty intelligent. Finally, the Skyward Sword Zelda seems almost romantic. No doubt she'll also display all the characteristics we've seen in Zelda throughout the years.
My favourite Zeldas are those from Oot, TP, and (hopefully) SS. Long comment is long... Good job lining them up, though.

XD good observations lol actually the TP zelda is in her 20s ^,^ she was way more adult then Link was lol considering him still being a teenager x'D I think the Spirit tracks one was more girlier then the WW version lol the newer one looks like a sappy romantic xD LOL

actually the TP zelda is in her 20s That's what I thought. As for the SS Zelda, her sappiness is kinda funny. xD I'm betting they'll make her character as fleshed out and likeable as all the other Zeldas. God knows we can't have another female Nintendo character go the way of the Other M. (I haven't played Other M, so my observations are based on those who have played it. If someone has a different thought about Samus' character in that game, I'd honestly love to hear it.)

Yes, long comment is long. And good
I wonder if SS Zelda will also have some kind of second, regal outfit.

I'm wondering that, too. It seems they've gone back to using Link's Ordon outfit from TP, or something similar. What surprised me was that Zelda was wearing "casual" clothes, as well. Maybe her royal status hasn't been touched on yet?

No, I didn't.
Sheik's not in the pic for the same reason Tetra isn't. It's the evolution of Zelda as a princess, not her alter egos.

Where's Twilight Princess Zelda? I prefer her brown hair and purple dress to the classic blonde and pink.

Does anyone else think that the Nintendo DS Zeldas are... uh, different, or um, lacking? I love the games so far, but the Zeldas in the DS are a little... different then their ancestors/descendants.

I'm never shure about the zelda time line or if they are all conected. some are definetly conected in some sort of time line but I don't know if all are conected. What I'm saying or asking do all the games have a conection like maby the oracle games and orcarinna of time or something? Realy I just never had any actual proof that Nintendo relates all zelda games. If you can comfirm this ( and I mean actual proof from nintendo) it would be helpfull. And before I forget great piece of work.

I quote: "In an interview that Nintendo Dream conducted with Eiji Aonuma in December 2006, he explained that the Zelda timeline contains two parallel worlds. The split in the timeline occurs during Ocarina of Time, when, at the end of the game, Link is sent back in time by Zelda. Once returned to his original time, Link goes to see her again, and the result of this meeting is an alternate future in which the villain Ganondorf is arrested and tried by the ancient sages, which causes him to get banished to the Twilight Realm; Twilight Princess then occurs several hundred years after the Ocarina of Time child Link's era. Meanwhile, The Wind Waker occurs in the 'original' timeline, hundreds of years after the adventure of adult Link in Ocarina.[2][3]
In any case, the creators maintain that the series has a set timeline, but due to the poor translation protocols in the 1990s and the constant debate over what counts as being canonical, the publicly available information is disputed and may not be reconciled any time soon. Eiji Aonuma has stated that he will do his best to connect the games together and hopefully reveal the timeline someday, and both he and Shigeru Miyamoto have publicly stated there is a master document containing the timeline."
And thanks.

would they all be blood related? the zeldas I mean?

Interesting question. I believe they would, since the first born daughter of the royal family has to be named Zelda.
I'm sure the Links wouldn't be blood related.

Juji007fuji In reply to Nelde [2011-06-13 14:04:46 +0000 UTC]
they might be because there is only one royal family running Hyrule and it was mentioned that Tetra is ST Zelda's grandmother x'D I used to think most of the Links were related and mainlg different generations, like OOT Link and TP Link, my theory is OOT Link married Malon, Malon has kids, Kids grow up and marry and have kids of there own and so on then there's TP Link since he's a rancher just like Malon x'D in other words I would think malon is TP Links great great grandmother

Left of the young or adult Oot Zelda?
Well the one left of young Zelda is the Zelda from the Oracle series and left of the adult one is the Zelda from the remake of AlttP.

This is definitely well-done! You missed some of the old Zeldas, but they don't have very good art anyway (and it's all in "illustrations," not in an isolated "here's a picture of Zelda" form), so it's okay
