Description EDIT:
I know have made a second version, which you can view here:

I tried to include the various comments and suggestions for improvement.

What I tried to do here is to show the requited and unrequited sexual attractions between the different sexes and the different sexual orientations.
The graphic is purely based on my knowledge and logic.

The reason why there is no intersex for the heterosexual part is that it is logically impossible to be intersex and or heterosexual because there is no such thing as an opposite to intersex. It would be theoretically possible to be intersex and homosexual, meaning that someone is only attracted to other intersex people, but I found that highly hypothetical. If you think otherwise, let me know.

And if you think that I made a mistake or forgot to add something, also let me know.
I'd like to hear what you think about it.

Nelde

Notes:
-I listed only the sexes, not the genders
-Transsexuals are listed as the sex they want to have

3 sexes ? like... how does the male-female gender ?
how is that look like ? a human with both sexual organs ?

Ignoring everything else horribly wrong with this: Intersex is not a third sex. We are male or female, just like everyone else.

Trans women who like women/females are heterosexual.
If a trans woman likes anyone who "identifies" as woman no matter the sex, and likes other trans women, then bisexual.
Sexuality is based on sex, not identity. I'm not attracted to people's claims - I'm attracted to females.

I don't think there is such a thing as biologically heterosexual. Imo, if a trans woman likes women she is lesbian and that's all there is.

Since when is sexuality something that can be explained from a person who isn't of all those sexual natures? You can't. It's not a book that's already opened since birth to read. You open it more as time passes. One person who is gay, straigh,t or asexual might develop into a bi. No one knows nor is it their place to decide and know.

All in all this list is a list of nonsensical mania.

When did I say that all of this is permanent and unchangeable?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheAmericanKaiser In reply to Nelde [2015-06-14 14:50:08 +0000 UTC]

I said it's not. Because it's a part of the reason that a list is pointless to "explain" a non explainable process.

It's like... a gay man isn't going to be sexually attracted to a trans woman just cause she might have a penis. He's not sexually attracted to other men, which means he can be sexually attracted to trans men, who might not have a penis. Do you get what I'm saying or am I confusing? XD

I realise no one has commented on this in nearly a year, but I've just seen this now so... yeah ^_^

I find this interesting... but I don't tend to like things solely based on sex. Sex is unimportant, gender is what defines us. Sexual attraction isn't always to what genitals someone has, it's to what gender they are (or aren't). A man sexually attracted to a woman, even is she is trans, for example.

I just don't like when people are categorised by their sex. Being a trans guy, this chart would list me as the female sex, would it not? Since this is about genitals and sex, I couldn't be put down as male, right? And I find that wrong :/

I have one question- can't intersex bisexuals be attracted to another bi-intersexuals? there is no line saying so- Iam just wondering if there is such a thing. Or would they be pansexual then?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nelde In reply to HeyWorldImGay [2011-09-18 13:12:06 +0000 UTC]

They can't if you follow the definition of bisexuality=attracted to male and female.
If you define bisexual as something else, they can.

I love this. It's a million times simpler than version 2 xP
And I think if people see this as being a 'communal' thing rather than an 'individual' thing then it works really well

Nelde In reply to PastelPaintPrincess [2010-10-06 09:11:21 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the problem with this version is, that not everybody is represented.
But yeah, it is simpler. ^^

PastelPaintPrincess In reply to Nelde [2010-10-12 12:12:00 +0000 UTC]

Well you could always add in a little side-note "This doesn't mean that all persons MUST fit into one of these categories."
Anyone who does fall out of all those categories probably does understand their own position and stuff. This can be really for people who have no idea about these things...

Nelde In reply to PastelPaintPrincess [2010-10-12 13:52:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you're right.
The two versions are two very different attempts.

Clarifying my earlier comment: "Unrequited Sexual Attraction" should stay, but maybe the other one should be "Possible Requited Sexual Attraction."

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nelde In reply to sirenoftriton [2010-09-19 18:52:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm not saying that everybody is sexually attracted to everybody that is connected with a red line, but on the other hand, the same goes for the unrequited sexual attraction.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nelde In reply to Nelde [2010-09-19 18:54:22 +0000 UTC]

But maybe it's also a language problem, as I'm not a native speaker.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

sirenoftriton [2010-09-19 18:45:36 +0000 UTC]

I also feel like there's a bit of unfortunate implications with the "requited/unrequited" aspect, because, of course, just because you're attracted to the sex of an individual doesn't mean you're attracted to that individual. I know most people will get that, but I don't know, I can see this representation used to prop up ideas about bisexual or pansexual people being "easy" and willing to screw anybody when there are more people (of both sexes) whom I am NOT attracted to than people I am attracted to. I am quite monogamous and picky, it's just that gender isn't as important to me as other criteria.

Maybe that just means you should change the labels to something like "Mutual Attraction Possible" to "Always Unrequited" or something like that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

sirenoftriton [2010-09-19 18:05:36 +0000 UTC]

Personally, I identify as bisexual rather than pansexual not because I'm not attracted to genderqueer people (I haven't met enough in my life to really know yet), but because to me "pansexual" has usually meant someone who looks beyond gender. I can't say that's me. For one, I have a preference for men over women, even though I'm attracted to both. I also think I'm attracted to different things in men and women. So I clearly "see" gender, much as I don't like to admit it since I'm an ardent feminist who is opposed to strict gender roles. So I think that the categorization of bisexual and pansexual here is a bit too simplistic - especially as I think there's a larger category of bi people who use "bi" rather than "pan" simply because they're unfamiliar with the latter label or are just sick of explaining what it means.

And as others have pointed out, people who are biologically intersexed often present themselves as male or female. Unless you're looking down people's pants before you decide whether to date them, they would probably fall into one of the two binary sex categories when it comes to which people are attracted to them.

Thanks for your comment!
You have some valid points here.
I hope I can fix most of them in the new version, but it still remains difficult. I have actually made several versions now, but I'm still trying to make it clearer.
