I think that you'll remember this batch, I deleted it cause' I wanted to do something with them, but finally decided to let it go ~This'll be a 48h auction.

Did you use someone else's base that was free for this? Something tells me you didn't pay a cent for the base. I frankly think they're a bit overpriced. Tell us, did you get the base from someone else for free? Did you pay for a base? Did you make the base yourself? help justify the price. I would try and bid for it and ask for it to be put on hold (As I don't get paid until next week) if I win; but you need to justify the price. Anyone with enough practice and the right software can turn a base anyone made into something high quality and make total profit off of it if they are using a free base.Β
I honestly would like to know; because I've tracked people asking for $10 starting bids and an autobuy of $200 for something they simply modified from a free to use base and never even credited the creator, against the base creator's terms.Β

A simple, "Did you make this base?" would have been perfectly fine no matter what you were feeling :/

Well, the price is not for me at the moment. I don't get paid until next week, and there were a couple I had an interest in. that's the problem. I would have liked for a few to have been held, because I can afford it in a little while

Excuse me but i find the starting bid a pretty fair price 3$/300 pts isn't much and most of adoptable artist is using a base, free, bought or self made and there are very many who ask for low quality a lot of money.
Does are very detailed and i am sure the artist spent a lot of work on them personally i would put a higher price. If i had money or points right now i would right away bid at least 7$ on one of them.

Well, considering how a majority of the free bases used for high end adoptables are not credited-Against the wishes of the creator of the base! Why can't someone just say they made the base. There's a difference between what is essentially stealing someone's base and making your own, and asking the same amount.Β

Because most people who made the base themselves don't see need to credit self . And mainly not if you make adoptables more offten.Β
On other hand the creators have to take in mind that this will possibly happen and if they want
some profit of it they always can make it a payed base, yet again i saw many people use someone else base and put
credit on the first time they use it so is not exactly disrespecting what the author ask.
And someone who would really steal it surly wouldn't agree, i found quite some thieves who kept deny even after i gave them a link to the original picture.
I believe is better find out on your own if is stolen before accusing.
It can be very unfair when it comes to adoptable selling but is nothing that can be changed.

Yeah. But my loss that I took means the person who provided me the adoptable to sell (I can't draw animals to save my life) ended up getting a chapter of my work for free. I don't write things I don't want to write for free. I'll do it for compensation, any day. But I don't get it for free. That was literally all she could pay me too.Β

I'm sorry. I just got ripped off on an adoptable I had managed to sell. I saw a trend that showed people stealing other's bases and making a killing when I literally got ripped off for something hand made
I was commissioned to do some work and paid in hand-made adoptables of an original species idea of mine I wanted to market as adoptables on here; the idea being that for something I'm writing; you can have your very own; in this case, a Draconian Kriss.Β
We agreed to paypal and I noted them my number. They said they paid me, and since there is a delay between email notifications on paypal, I held them to their word. Now I ended up taking a 7 dollar hit.Β
I look on the adoptable groups, and find that a majority of the people making a killing are using free bases that they aren't even using according to terms. And when presented with a lack of information; the human mind naturally will come to supplement based on previous experience.Β
I am really mad, and that hit is something I can't just recoup instantly. If people on here are doing something bad and making a fortune with it, try saying in text at the bottom "These are my own bases I made and not from anybody else"Β

Ehm, don't worry, maybe I souned a bit rude too... I'm sorry for that, and you souldn't start your commissions until you have the payment, cause' they can simply forget .without bad intentions- you and you'll see yourself without the promised money / points .
I always credit on my adopts that are made using bases - take a look to my gallery if you want - but don't worry, I'll put on the bottom of those ones that this base is mine <3Β

Put the source on every single one you do. It helps alleviate confusion and puts a stopping block on the rude comments from people like me.Β
I'm thinking of only requiring points, because that's an actual money hit I took. Specifying where the base had come from is a lot easier than having to answer in disgruntled comments
And I'm actually interested in number 2; but I can't pay presently but if you were to have had a set price and have been able to put it on hold for me, I could easily have paid for it. I really want number 2, and I know because of the way I get paid (I plan all of my expenses out ahead of time) I can't pay right away
