There are illustrations of this form of Articuno in an old traveler's journal exploring the world of Johto before its settlement. The inscriptions are hard to make out but it said certain doom would encase the world if Articuno hatched.

This was designed last year for the fan project Legends: Celebi, however I decided to depart from the project due to creative differences. I decided to complete this artwork as it was sitting there un-rendered. I may finish the other artworks, just this was the most completed one.
