Description
This is an evolutionary simulation for 8 generations of hypothethical, pixel-based creatures. Notice how the complexity increases exponentially with each generation, and how wildly different lines branch of from common ancestors.Related content

i am NOT taking any objections to the picture. if you actually read the goddamn artists comments you would see what i am talking about. granted, religion is bullshit, but i do not express that idea every time i submit artwork. next time, look at the subject of the argument before you throw yourself into it.

This is one of the most amazing things you've done! And the pixel medium works so beautifully for this. The red lines can get confusing though, was that deliberate?

I wanted the lines to resmeble circuit boards, but neon red on gray does confuse a little. I might re-do this any second now, with a better background and better presentation...thankss..
PS:this is why I asked you about gif animations...I wanted it animated at first. but that would need a team to accomplish.

I wanted to show the critters actually evolving as they drifted into their respective places, and splitting into more sub branches...that evolved as well. it would thake a nightmarish ammount of work for one person.

It would be easy to do as a regular animation, which you can then export as frames to use to make a gif animation, but I'm not sure what software you may have?

I planned in the crudest way, a giant gif, as big as the picture, animated pixel by pixel. ehheh

it reminds me something from pacman or tetris thingies games and that the more adorable reason which iam faving this,
the evolution began many many years ago and it will never stop,so you produced something "old" with an old way that touches me.
