Also, by looking at the FAQ section, I'm guessing you are going to do some work with the older dominant terrestrials? (AKA the older "vertebrate" analogues)
It would be cool to see some Arthrognathans, Mullojiforms ,and other beasties that went extinct. The prospect of an entire extinct Superdomain (Correct Taxo term?) of life due to a huge disaster is neat to think about too! Are there any survivors of this era, maybe deep in ocean trenches?
Also, there were mentions of autotroph-heterotroph symbiotes.

SnaΔ±ad almost two billion years older than earth, and there are at least two "lost worlds" Δ±n Δ±ts past - but we don't have good fossils from those times. If there are any such survivors, they'd be reduced to the state of small, uninteresting minor groups.
