Because everyone seems to like "The Lonely God", I thought I'd post a few more from that series, which I called "Scenes that Never Happened." Basically, I wanted to create images around which scenes could be built (and a few of them I did indeed take and build a story around later). These were all done with ink and marker and then touched up in Photoshop.Related content

Is it just me, or does the Empress look rather like Sarah-Jane? o_o

A bit, although that could be the hair (it was the early seventies, and it's hard to find a glamorous hairstyle that doesn't resemble Sarah's in some way. Actually, I loosely based her physical appearance on Eva Green, since I'd always had it in my head that she was a stunning brunette.

An original character (this is actually an illustration I did a while back) that was never featured on the series. As this is part of my "scenes that never happened", most of them are based on story ideas that I had that were then developed after the drawing of this image. So she's the Empress of the Imperial Outer Solar System. But you wouldn't know just from the illustration, so for the purposes of DeviantART, she's just part of what I hope is an evocative image! %)
