Description
Actually, this idea of Erik finding out that he has a daughter, Operetta, has been wandering since the first time I saw the doll of Operetta, but I never found a way of drawing it. So, I took the chance, and decide to use this idea in a little scene. But you may be wandering: why incluing also Sherlock Holmes? Because It's my intention of drawing a story, a crossover, where Erik and Sherlock are present (and other characters I am already choosing with my husband). I hope I will manage to do something like this. I have to find the courage, because I'm afraid I will fail...but I hope not. Also, sorry for the long speech I made for Sherlock, but you know, he's deducting, and when he does, he talks a lot (just to show off! Also a little translation of what Erik says:
Comment? - How?
Quoi? -What?
J'ai...une fille? - I have... a daughter?
Mais, Je n'ai jamais fait..fait.. - But I've never make...make (and we know what Erik never made

that's cool! you will learn a lot! French is usually a tough language, especially when it comes to the grammar. I feel lucky, because french grammar is similar to the italian one, so I didn't have so much trouble in learning it!

Yeah, the grammar is confusing. I have the most trouble with trying to pronounce things though, knowing only American English...it's like a completely different mouth movement. And I've always wanted to learn Italian! My mom is Italian and although she was born in America, she used to speak it to her grandparents but stopped using it and forgot it when they died.

I know, the french pronunciation it's a bit crappy, but I think it's a bit easier for us italian because we have a lot of sounds in common..instead, in italy, there are lot of people who have an hard time with the american and british english, because there are a lot of sounds that we don't have in the language. Luckly, my mum is american, so, I don't have problem at all with the accent!
Really? that's good!! Italian it's a beautiful, beautiful language! (but probably my opinion it's not an object opinion, since it's my native language!)

Haha, I think Italian is great! I'd take it if it were offered at my school. I always found the French mouth movements slightly more similar to British accented-English than American. Like, when imitating a British accent or speaking French, I find I talk a lot more with my lips in the front of my mouth. I dunno, it's hard to describe. I also feel like we Americans pronounce more of the letters.
Oh yeah, and it's awesome that you know so many languages. I wish I could speak fluently in any other language myself. Of course all my Italian-speaking relatives HAD to die before I was born though
. My father is Chinese and fluent in it but he never taught it to me when I was younger and it is such a complicated language!

Yeah, the grammar is another whole story too! And many of the words sound the same but mean different things in a different voice tone. It's so confusing!

I know, right? I don't like Monster High's Operetta. They should've made her dark and classy, and instead she's a Dolly Parton impersonator.

NemoTurunen In reply to lesmislover88 [2012-06-06 19:51:06 +0000 UTC]
eheheheh! Dolly Parton impersonatorI never thought about it! But I actually like Operetta's personality (not so much her way of talking, but just because I expected her to be french, so I have imagined her more with a french accent), because she's quite a rebel, and proud of her music (much like Erik). But I agree with you: if she was a bit more "classy", she would have been better (though I like very much her black and red hair
)

Haha this made me laugh
My gosh, I about died laughing when I first saw Operetta at Wal-Mart It was both lame and awesome all at the same time! - lame because of how unrealistic and far-off from the real thing she was, and awesome because "CRAP, MAN! IT'S A PHANTOM OF THE OPERA DOLL!" So yeah...great picture
