Sleeves are the bane of my existence... Well, normal modern-day sleeves anyway. All sleeves give me a little fold trouble, but the bigger and drapier, the easier it is for me to draw them.
You're quite good! Your handle on arm shape is particularly impressive, and you draw hands really well too. They could perhaps use a slight bit more work, but couldn't all our hands use more work... *hides own art*
Very nice. Also, I'm envious of your detailing work in the clothes.

I feel the same about modern-sleeves. The more simple, the harder to draw.
Thank you so much! I'm definitely not there yet, but I do enjoy the practice for arms, and that's half the battle.
Hands, notsomuch. I fear them like death and the dentist. Wrists and palms are the stuff of nightmares and finger-joints haunt my every step, whispering from the shadows, "Give it up, rookie. There's 14 of us and only 1 of you. You're doomed to disproportionate sausage fingers. Forever."
But I don't listen to them. Most of the time.
Together, let us fight the valiant war of hands/arms/sleeves versus artistic willpower! We'll see who's laughing in the end!
Thank you for the comment, duozaiying-san!

XD Haha! Yes, let us do just that. We can conquer these demons yet. It's reassuring to know there are artists better than myself who also struggle with some of the same things I do. XD

D'aww, I dunno about that... But I know what you mean; I deeply admire sketchers, writers, crafters, and creators who admit that it doesn't come naturally. I think it's awesome to be honest about the work and effort, and then continue to enjoy the improvement all the more!
That's what makes them/us artists, yeah?
Gaaaah! I love it.

for me, "practice" means "draw, erase, get fed up, repeat".
Oh goodness, how i can relate!
These look very good, though. I like how you've managed to make the clothing look soft and 3-dimensional...definitely something I'm struggling with.

Thank you so much! Yes, I have pathological fabric-fear.
As with hands, backgrounds, and screentones, I can only hope that facing my fears will be good for me, rather than kill me dead.

Oh, I'm glad you find it helpful! Hahah! I've done that, too. In fact, I have terrible habit drawing only heads (shoulder up) and skipping arms altogether!

It used to be really popular in Korea too around early 2000s when the anime first aired.

Really? That's interesting, I never knew that. I think there was also a live action TV drama for it in China. Seems like America should step a little further onto the Tenipuri-loving boat, huh?

Yeahhh I mean like it's one of the first sports manga to be loved by fangirls so much and its anime is notorious for its voice actor casting (many famous voice actors' debut). I guess it's because the manga thing wasn't a big thing for America back then, which is why old masterpieces like Slam Dunk are undervalued...Oh and let's not mention how large the fanbase used to be for Tenipuri.

*nodnod* I know, I've often thought that the most important aspect of Tenipuri is the seiyuu cast but, of course in America, most people seem to watch the dubs.
Is Slam Dunk that good? I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's like Prince of Tennis for basketball.

That's more like Kurobasu. Slam dunk is pretty good, yep. At least it's more realistic than Tenipuri XD Popularized fantasy sport was almost pioneered by Tenipuri

Hahah! "Fantasy Sport". That pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? I liked Kurobasu at the beginning, but I thought the characters lost a lot of their spark somewhere around the middle. I started watching Tenipuri after that, and got the idea that it was kind of the parent sports anime. I love it, definitely more than Kurobasu I'm afraid.
I should look into Slam Dunk, though. The older originals always seem to be better than the up'n'coming attempts.

Slam Dunk is pretty realistic but it deals with human relationships very well. Yeah, I don't really like Kurobasu although I really liked tenipuri.
