I view my computer and it's attached components as a dimensional gateway. The internet is like a collection of tunnels through space which are connected to each other by computers. Servers, desktop PCs, mainframes, all form a fabric much like the apparent linear time-space continuum we percieve in limited fashion. It's a growing entity and I have no doubt that it will continue evolving as the age of true A.I. grows near.
