for this particular drawing, i choose the cyan blue in the background and the grey in the foreground, blended them together, using the mixed colors to create a sense of perspective and distance (fading out as it gets farther away). for my other drawings my answer would be a bit more varied, but i think that tip will help you if you haven't heard of it already
