Well.. This was a case of being lucky while the original idea kinda died.
Due to all kinds of little delays we arrived too late at this location. The sun was already gone. But there was just one beam that shone trough a round hole.. It was only natural that we would incorporate that, wich led directly to this image.

I used to watch a lot of Bob Ross, an artist I know, not a photographer, but he used the expression 'a happy accident' and it happens to all of us at different times. Make use of what you have I guess and not worry about what you missed

At the time of this shoot I was mostly focused on the technical side of things because I just had a new camera.
About a year later I realised how wonderful those 'happy accidents' can be. For instance with this photo - - - >
I had a few ideas about how to pose the model, of course. The way that the leather belt is hanging from the scabbard is something that I would have never thought of beforehand.. It is those small little details that I'm happy with to let it be filled in by reality ^^

To me it suggests that the character has been told to 'ready for battle' and they are not too pleased about it, and yes, the strap hanging like that hanging belt only adds to what I see.
