Ok the simple fact is that the FF13 lay arts scale problem IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR ME it always has been, so after reading how some others were upset this morning i said screw it im changing her and I did. I cut out the freak knees thing the Play arts Kai have. I am going to go back and do this to ALL my FF13 Play arts.I reduced her height by 3/4 of an inch and as you can see she Looks BETTER especially when compared with all the other play arts. MAN I LOVE CUSTOMIZING.
PS, that is my custom Barret from FF7.

very nice job. yeah i think that Lightning is so HUGE i mean she even taller than the Lightning from XIII-2(correct me if im wrong) btw do you have pictures of Genenis in your gallery? i see it in your youtube channel and i think it look AWESOME keep doing those amazing jobs!!

I'd appreciate what you done for Lightnig! I'd like to ask if her knees and joints are still articulated? If so, how did it end up that way?

yeap still articulated... I essentially cut the knees joint in half and glued it back together.

You're a true genius man! I both another lightning.. damn! it took me forever to cut her legs, and the joints got busted! What tools did you used for your figure to cut it?

Dude all you need is a pot of boiling water, crazy glue, and an xacto knife.
1. pull off her legs and put in a pot of boiling water for about 1-2 min
2. this makes the joints loose and you can pull em right out
3. while still warm cut the freaky knee section from the double knee joint and attach the ends together with crazy glue.
4. Re boil the legs to soften the plastic agian and put the joints back in...
5. Let cool and youll have your new PROPER HIEGHT Lightning.

A little bit afraid if the the paint will be different after the boiling water thing, 'coz don't have any skills of painting stuffs.
I'm good on sketching or free hand drawing, but not on colouring stuffs.

Got it done,I'm so happy!!! Cut her legs though, not the knee, 'coz I'm not as skill as you my friend. Still, the boiling part helps me bigtime! I'll Upload it tomorrow morning. Thank you so much neoarchangemon!

Much as I like the FFXIII figures that I have, I don't see why they had to be so much taller than past figures (unless that was the only way to get the extra detail and articulation in). :/ Your edit looks nice.

no they seemed fine to me. Her legs seem a little stumpy with the custom.

Ok so I shortened her. So here she should appear to be about 5'9 or 5'10 Sephiroth is 6'1 (I base all my scales on AC Sephiroth), My Barret i made proportionately taller at 6'4 So Snow will have to be the exact same proportion taller than Barret.
I will reduce Vanille's appeared look to 5'5 which will put them all about 2 inches taller than they really are.

For such a stylish character...FF13 sure is hard and somewhat dull.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... I loved it. The only thing i would hav eimproved upon was the strength of the Summons. They seemed pretty pointless once you reach lvl 5 abilities.

I still haven't beat it yet, and so far it feels like nothing except monster after monster and some stat and item management here and there...zero minigames, zero towns to visit...and just overall feels like Blade Runner.

Thank you. I'm happy i went ahead and did this. I never Edit the originals but the FF13 is a special case cause i love the game and the figs but the off scale with ALL the other play arts KILLS ME!!! Im even thinking about doing X-2 Customs since they a a bit smaller than regular Play arts.

I think that'd be pretty cool if you did the X-2s as well. I agree, the 13's are way off scale with the others. >.< It's pretty irritating.
