Damien Worthington the young, rich and powerful corporate CEO was once himself a digimon. He came into existence after the D-Reaper's destruction. Damien was originally the digicore of Karitorumon that he was able to sneak into the RealWorld when Takato and the gang went back for their original goodbyes. Karitorumon is infact the D-Reaper in digimon form. Karitorumon's digicore needed a body to inhabit or it would have perished, but the body didnt need to be alive. The digicore made its way to a nearby morgue and went inside the body of a recently deceased young American tourist. This reanimated the body and Damien Worthington was brought "back to life". Over the years the digicore became an actual heart and the digicore and body were 1 being. Damien used his new form to gain control of Worthington industries and to also keep tabs on Takato and the gang. Eventually Rika and her Family moved to America. This presented a great opportunity to get as close he needed to the gang through Rika. He started to date and eventually proposed. But after years of being in the real world Damien's new form was losing its stability and he needed to return to the digital world. Using his company's vast wealth, he started an expedition team looking for digital portals around the world. He went to Tokyo to hire an exemplary student, Henry Wong, who had been doing this research on his. Damien funded all of Henry's new research and expeditions.

Eventually Takato and the gang make it back to the digital world and Damien secretly follows. Once there he meets with Reapermon the adult form of Karitorumon when they meet they BIOMERGE into DigiHumon. In this form Damien is incased in an energy cocoon ready for his next evolution.
