I see this as being a perfect Hybrid Mega/Ultimate level for Dark-Spirit Evolution, though the near-Super Ultimate would have to be Aikimon (Love Machine from Summer Wars essentially)Β
Imagine this for a second. You and your Partner Jogress each of your Digimon into Khaosmon to deal with a giant SephiraGizumon (Mega-level form of HunterGizumon, think Gizumon but instead of being used to destroy Digimon, it essentially is like an Eater from Cyber Sleuth) But it fails to leave a dent as it Digivolves at the last second to KeterGizumon and not only one-shots Khaosmon, but also kills your partner (their Soul reincarnates into a newborn Digimon but you don't know that yet)Β
In your despair and grief, you give into a dark temptation and use the souls of fallen digimon to form what is essentially Digital Power Armor in the form of Zhernebomon and you go mad with power and seek to slay thousands of Digimon to find the right spirits to use to forge the most powerful Digimon ever created, Aikimon, all to destroy KeterGizumon and break through the Firmament separating the Digital World from the Heavens themselves. Something that no Digimon can do, at least not one that follows the Laws that govern the Reality of the Digital World.Β
Meanwhile your Digimon Partner, Leomon, gets separated and finds a newborn Digimon who has the memories of your Partner, and they begin to journey to find the four other Bancho Digimon in the hopes of reigniting the light within your Soul.
And a long time afterwards, a Gennai-like character devises a way to truly merge with your Digimlon using data from you and your friend, One whose Body was that of a Digimon, and the other who had wielded the Power of a Digimon first-hand. The fusion of the Data of Body and Power creates a new program for your Digivice, one that allows you to break the laws of the Digital World, and achieve Super-Ultimate. Skeksis were from the 1982 Jim Henson film "The Dark Crystal" Its not a well known movie, outside of certain circles. I have never watched the movie myself, I only know of it due to seeing the name on Netflix once, watching a show called "Jim Henson's Creature shop challenge" in which one of the weekly challenges was to create a Skeksis, and from "Heroes of Cosplay" in which one of the costumes done by a couple of the cosplayers was a Skeksis.Β
