Nick Fury (or rather Nick Fury Jr. from ultimate) was first turned black in the comics. Marvel asked Samuel L. Jackson if they could base Fury on him. He agreed under the condition to play him in the movies.
Plus, with the multiverse who can say if there ISN'T a white Black Panther or Black Domino? If Gwen Stacy can be alive and Peter Parker dead in one universe, everything is possible.

Not really trying to protect him, more like trying to make everyone realize that this drawing isn't the end of the world. I just think we have a lot more problems going on around the globe, and this fan art really isn't a top priority. In more simpler terms, stop making such a big deal out of it.

Racism is kind of a big deal. Ignore it and you get things like, oh, I don't know, the Holocaust? This 'Unite the right' bull crud? You know, when real people actually end up suffering real violence or getting killed simply due to having the 'wrong' skin colour? What's more important than that? Global warming? Veganism?
And Neoartcore changed the skin colour already. She used to be really Caucasian when this was first uploaded, but now she seems kinda like Zendaya to me? I don't know. I just remember this being very uncomfortable when I first saw it and it seems there was a tweak or edit to the brightness and contrast of the face.

As far as I know the original Black Panther is still black, this is just insignificant fan art which changes nothing about the main canon. Also, why isn't anyone complaining about him getting Black Panther's gender wrong, rather than the skin color. By your logic that should be an issue

I dont agree with racewashing of a character whose race is relevant to their background whether its white to black or black to white. If someone had drawn a black Thor, people would be outraged and the anti-black bigots would arrive in droves to spread their hate. Thor should be white and always portrayed as such. Black Panther and other Black characters should always be Black. No matter what people say, race matters and most people deeply identify with characters based on things like race and gender. It's just that white ppl have so many characters already so they take it for granted and don't realize that it mattered to them until the character is racewashed or genderbent.
And Shuri, T'Challa's sister takes on the mantle of BP in the comics. If she was drawn black, this art would have been accurate. But a white woman was drawn instead. That's why people of color feel disrespected.

It's a beautiful piece but that doesn't negate the obvious observations. There is more than just the skin tone to look at. The features such as the nose and lips are a little washed as well. As I said the image is beautiful but it is what it is.
