The issue isn't that she's twisting, the issue is the degree of the twist. Proportions and breasts aside, her butt's at a 90-degree angle while her shoulders are flat on the ground. Unless you're a contortionist, you can't have your waist and shoulders perpendicular to each other

I don't know how old you are but thats just flat out false. I wont say the painting is realistic, its obviously unrealistic, but I literally just tried lying in the same pose and not only was it easy, it didn't hurt either. The only way this could be undoable is if your in your 40s or 50s and have back problems.

I just tried as well and I could not get my shoulders flat the ground like that without an extreme amount of pain. I didn't actually ever get all the way.

I tried it and despite being completely out of shape I managed to do it with relative ease. Someone as trained as Mercy shouldn't have an issue.

When a woman is on her back like this, her breasts are subject to gravity and will flatten out to the sides. This is a fundamental fact of girls and gravity! Breasts are basically a bag filled with fat (I'm not trying to be insulting here, that's what they are...). When a woman leans over, the opposite happens, they sag down vertically.

It's not bending your spine thats the issue; it's the angle her butt is at. The bottom cheek, the one touching the sand, should be showing less, so that way it would look more like her hips are turning more with her body.

I thought this looked wrong then I tried to do the pose and its actually pretty easy to do and not painful at all, I think the only issue is her torso is a tiny bit too long. Other than that this looks really good and that hand is spot on.

U can literaly just open any of his other works and see that he can draw proper anatomy but cos of reasons said earlyer u cant understand that its not allways a goal of art.

I agree what they said was not constructive, but anatomy is important.
Even if the character is fictional, anatomy helps the image feel right.
I have seen stretched anatomy and it doesn't feel wrong, this ones a
little too exaggerated.
For a constructive point I would state that just put the butt on an angle
instead of straight would help the pose, and maybe add some width to
the waist.
The painting and coloring is amazing.

I dont agree that anatomy is important... What IS important that character looks good and thats it if its enjoyable its good and doesnt matter if she have tiny waist streched bones or 6 arms. If someone looking for realism he should go outside or atleast into photography section not into digital arts and video games... Their goal to create images outside of this world and not simply try to copy what u can see every day as close as possible.
