I want this to be as accurate with the canon as possible, but also add some of my own ideas to it. So that’s what you’re seeing here.
ApeTrully has since revealed his true appearance! Also fun fact: According to the Hero: 108 Origins comic (and/or the person who translated them), Apetrully’s real name is Wu Kong, but goes by Song Chang/ApeTrully. Just thought it would be strange if he still went by ApeTrully out of disguise.
Wu Kong/ApeTrully has since taken over Hidden Kingdom and has abolished its empire. It’s now a democracy, hence why he calls himself President.
Hidden Kingdom is now called the Human-Animal Republic, and the East Citadel is now the Hidden City.
Certain animals wear clothes now, namely Wu Kong and Jumpy. (more on this later)
To give you guys an idea on how often pages will be released, this took 2 weeks to complete, and I started this page right after the cover. It most likely won’t be consistent due to school and work, but I’ll try my best! I’ve never been this excited to share something I created, because wow was this a lot of work.
Still pretty new to creating a full-fledged comic, so if there are any questions or critiques, please let me know! (However, I almost guarantee that any plot-based questions will be answered as more pages are released) Btw I used Medibang paint and Photoshop CC to make this.
Synopsis:
It’s been 10 years since Twin Masters and HighRoller were taken down, and much of Hidden Kingdom has changed since then. So for the 10th anniversary of the legendary defeat, President Wu Kong decides to celebrate with a reunion of the original members of Big Green. Most have been found except for one member: Lin Chung. He has completely disappeared after the defeat and it’s up to Wu Kong and the former First Squad to find him.
Hero: 108 The Search for Lin Chung is a fan-made continuation and is not canon to the original series created by Yang-Ming Tarng. Please keep an open mind here as this contains both an expansion of the existing lore, and completely new lore that most likely isn’t canon. While this is originally a kids show, this also has a more serious tone to it as most of the characters are now adults.
