Also they made metal bending really stupid in korra. It's obvious that they thought that metal bending is too powerful (just like with the avatar state) so they made some really awkward compromises. First they don't establish what "metal" really is, the consensus was that an earthbender bends the impurities in the metal (which is odd, there should be no reason for "real" metalbending to exist as Guru Pathik said). What follows are the ultra pure mechs that metalbenders can't bend in the first season. The real stupid thing however comes in the third season when no pure metal is available and they use platinum instead. "And don't try to use your metalbending, these handcuffs are made of platinum."
Really? It's not like i'm a chemist or anything but i'm pretty sure that platinum is still a metal. But the pillar of stupid is the last episode when the poison is metal and bendable, a liquid metal at room temperature which leaves mercury as only candidate, a metal that is ultra pure because of it's properties to begin with. So a metalbender can bend metal but not when it's platinum or ultra pure and the latter only counts when it's not ultra pure mercury because a metalbender can bend that no problem. I wonder if they can't bend ultra pure silicon, you know, the element that's pretty much in all of eath and dirt? I wish they would be more clear on that.

Nothing good probably. They have a bloody history of killing popular shows. Serial show murderers on the loose so to say. XP They already have Danny Phantom done away with and now Korra too. The fandom size and popularity are probably a fictional not-important factor for them. Not surprizing in the least. It is a great pity. The good shows they do away with, but add only God knows what.

I don't know what goes into the minds of Nickelodeon producers. After all, they did premiere Fanboy and Chum Chum as well as Breadwinners so they might be insane for all I know. All I've heard is that Korra wasn't doing as well in terms of viewership and they thought showing the show online would be more financially successful. Of course, the problem might just be the fact that gave Korra a terrible time slot next to Spongebob.

Bolin has Opal now, and no one else has had enough contact with Korra to make another ship viable. Think about it. Who is around Korra's age, and has spent enough time with her to make a relationship viable? Mako, Bolin, and Asami. Mako's personality is a bad mix for Korra's. Mako didn't even respect her enough to break up with her BEFORE making out with Asami. As I said, Bolin has Opal now. Asami has the best personality for Korra. Iroh II? They met like once. That Wolf-Bat captain? He's not even in the show anymore. And I don't think there are others.
BUT!! That's just how I feel. Others can feel how they want, I don't mind.
Point is, if Korra ends the season single, I would not object, so long as Asami is also single. I can hook them up in my head in post.
