As you can tell by the dated signature I drew this last year, down visiting teh Nurrr. It wasn't until much later in the year I bought myself some pencil crayons (and an electric sharpener) and actually decided to try my hand at hand colouring once more.Wow. It's has been a while. The one thing I dislike about about colouring by hand is sacrificing line art to trial and error by my hand. No erasing or layers with REAL colouring.
I really don't know how some artists can be so brave. It amazes me really. Though, I suppose I could scan the inks and I'd always have a copy.. or print myself out a page, or a photocopy and colour that. But, effort. And scanning NEVER does it justice- does it~
Saddly I haven't touched my pencil crayons since. I'm such a wuss X3
This picture I dedicate to all those long time Jak fans that I owe so much to and love. ;3 You know who you are.
It's been ages since I've submitted Jak, and it's long over due I sent this up.
Light Jak x Dax, because I love L!Jak so very much. Though he looks somewhat like a spider here, doesn't he? Oh well, artistic license! X3~
I fixed a few things in photoshop, made Jak all blue and added a bit of a softness to him (and shadow). (he's basically the same shade in the original- just his line art is black ink).
I'll always love J&D. I hope ND comes out with more games, even if they're beating a dead horse, there's just so few good game serieses out there anymore.

for worrying about colors, i photocopy for the first color try, then after a few tries I go to the nice paper with my sketch. that might help you

I love jak, thank you for drawing this. I always worry about destroying my art when I color it- usually take a photo, the quality is better than a scan

This is a really nice diviation, which has clearly had a bit of thought put in. Ligh Jak is awesome and, well the games are incredible. I'm sure you are aware that NB have a new J&D title lined up for the PS3? ^_^

This is really beautiful... I love this, and I love the Jak & Daxter series. I have all their games up to their last one, that Daxter for the PSP. D; I can't find my PSP so I wouldn't be able to play it even if I did buy it. 
I have no idea if Naughty Dog is working on any other games, though; there might be somethin' else they're cookin' up D:

hand colored art always looks better on paper than on screen, nomatter what scanner you use
Your coloring came out great on this. colored pencil, you say?! I was guessing a pastel of some sort... that just means your coloring is very smooth, of course

Okay, not a DxJ fan myself, but this is beautiful. For just picking up traditional coloring (or w/e, I donno what to call it), tis is just plan amazing. And I love how you did his wings XD Those tentacle things bugged me and this idea I like much more XD Jak's hair and pose is just perfect and Daxter looks so peaceful, knowing that he has a guardian angel XD so sweet ^^ insta-fave once again!

ohhh.. Now THIS was sumthin sweet that I REALLY wanted ta comment on. Just layed there in my inbox because I'm as lazy as they come. Oh... First of all, the concept it precious. It makes out Jak to be Dax's "guardian angel," and just the thought can spew the warm fuzzies into anyone. ^____^ The whole blue and white seen on Jakkie-boy wazza great idea. And the blue actually matches up very nicely with Daxter's green covers. and Daxter of course!! All tucked in bead so sweetly, and the adoreable soft expression he has. Someone's have'n a good sleep. <3 Both of their hair as well, and kudos to light Jak's highlights. I have no clue how you would think to make the highlights in his hair when he shines off a light blue already, but you pulled it off aweseomely.

Bah, I hate yaoi; but that's not the point, nor what amazes me about this.
What's amazing is not only the coloring, but how someone so good at digital coloring can be so worried about coloring by hand.
To be honest I suck at coloring period, but I find hand-coloring much easier and friendlier than trying to do so on a computer. I find computers confusing, my mouse and tablet jerky and painful, and such.
Still, this is rad.
