Nice photo. Interesting, in the forest, how smaller trees, often very old, survive amongst their larger neighbors. It is thought that the trees in some way communicate (yes!) and look out for one another. Ensuring proper sunlight for each other, they order their own growth patterns with communal intent.
The misty mood is delicate and beautiful and in no way foreboding.
