[Full View]The things that I draw when I'm depressed amaze me. It seems like I get two sorts of extremes...gory, depressing pictures such as 'The Execution' and then I draw this...perhaps the best pic Ive drawn of Shim yet.
No Shimmer is not back. But you'll see what this is for later. Hope you like it. Oh, and as a special treat, and since its taking me so long to finish, I'm uploading a clip from her story along with it.
"A tear trickled down the doe's cheek as she stared into the mirror, the wretched figure that was her reflection looking back. Her body was once more gaunt and broken, her fur matted with blood. "I’ve lost everything..." Shimmer whispered quietly as another tear fell to the floor. "I have nothing left" she finished, raising the gun to her temple.
A shattering crack echoed through the blustery air as the gun went off, followed by an eerie silence in which only the soft pitter patter of the rain could be heard."

I'm sorry I haven't been commenting on all of your art lately, I hardly have time to look at it, but it's lovely... Shim's calm smile in this is- somehow calming in itself even it is raining in the picture. The rain is nice too, you know it's there but it's not too distracting as it sets the mood.

But anyway, I agree with you kitty, this is one of your best shimmy piccys by far, the eyes, the expression, the pose, the backround, all so captivating :3 I love the way you did the grass and rain

I know we might talk as much as we used to kitty, but I hope things get better for you, from the deepest part of my soul I mean that and if you ever need someone to talk to, spork is always willing to listen to your vents and try and brighten you day, although she may suck at support

Aw, poor Shimmer. She was so happy. The picture is gorgeous, especially the wings. I've always thought of Shimmer as a more unrealistic, fantasy type of character. Like in a world with no guns. o___o But that really is sad. I can't wait to read the story.

When Im depressed my art is also odd. It can be very very like..murder-y kinda stuff or killing and anger and sometimes it could just be calm..writing also.

So much depression these days.And I'm sorry about what's been happening to you but from the way you describe your mother I think a divorce is for the better good though my opinion is only based on info you give us(hopefully you'll live with your dad?).It does get better trust me my parents got a divorce on my mom's bday (ironic right?) anyways since then we've been robbed twice and some lady rammed my mom in the street so we had no car for awhile.But it's got to get worse before it gets better.
