"Sweet dreams young Shimmer...sleep soundly, for soon enough your dreams may not be so serene."

This picture made me so sad. It's really bitter sweet when you think about it. Here you Shimmer as a fawn without a trouble in the world...and then...well, most of you know how the story goes...and if you dont then you'll be able to read the whole thing once I finish writing it ._. But heres a clip anyways =3

"The cold night air awoke the small fawn, ears perked for any sign of movement outside. Poking her head from out of the hole, she found nothing but clear blue skies, the stars above winking down on her. It appeared the coast was clear, and the first thought that came to mind was to find her father. Shimmer wandered hopelessly, finally making her way through a small clearing. "Daddy?" she sobbed, collapsing to the ground. She looked up when a soft silver glow caught her attention. "Daddy?" she said again, but the light appeared to be coming from a luminescent orb, floating inches from her maw. Several other orbs, these tinted a blue gray that seemed to reflect the doe’s emotion, also drifted about. "Will you help me find my daddy?" Shim asked softly, wiping away her tears.

Shimmer's cries for her father seemed to break the stillness of the crisp night air. Nothing seemed to move for miles around...even the crickets had gone silent. After wandering about for hours, the small fawn finally came to a spot she recognized…and there he lay; the silky white form of Gavan, reflecting the star lights glimmer. "Daddy!" called the doe racing to his side. "I was so afraid Daddy. They chased me and-" she pause when she realized her father wasn’t moving. "Daddy…? No…no" she sobbed, curling up against his limp body. But it was no use…Gavan was dead."

While working on her story I felt inspired to draw this. I like the way it came out..and I really like that teddy's ears xD
