Description The face was a quick pencil sketch I made short before I realized my 7 day subscription at DA. It surely would have remiained a sketch if I hadn't had the idea of making a journal header. I decieded to use this sketch and colored it in Photoshop. Then I tried to create a rain effect.

=> If somebody could give me some hints of how to create a nice rain effect - in the background and at the figure - I'd be very thankfull!

I decided to submit a version without any text and without the black frame because I think it has a stronger emotional atmosphere in it.

I think there'll be more finished (colored) work in the future because I found my way into drawing again All that keeps me from drawing at the moment is the fact that I'm very busy with other things ^^Β°

As I told you I like the color fades in the background and the rain already looks pretty nice!

Btw I think BrooΒ΄s right ear (from my vew) looks kinda wrong...just strange

I think it looks wonderful, the rain effect looks soft, muted. The focus is on brooklyn and not the rain, yes? Looks wonderful.

Lovely picture! You did the rain effects very well. I know of a place you can get a rain effect for Photoshop but I have forgotten the address. I can get hold of it again if you need it though, just let me know!

You are completely right Somehow to me it looked better than the version with only the inked outlines. I think he looks somehow more wet and dirty that way ^^
