This is the latest version of my Star Trek reboot poster. I try different effects in different combinations, so you could say IDIC permeates art as in life. 8} Since I can't handle a paintbrush, I'm always trying to turn pixels into brushstrokes...Related content

I hope not! Uhura has put up with 60s racism which kept her mostly always regulated to the back. I am glad to see her out in the forefront contributing. Actually I am glad to see other members like Sulu and Chekov having their value brought out too.
I can see what you mean about the friendship coming out more in the next film though. At this point its still at its infancy with a lot of potential to grow and grow. I guess finding that balancing act with all these characters is now up to the writers.

Very well said. I do understand what you mean on both counts. The original star trek always focused on the three...it did feel strange a poster to promote trek with Uhura and leave McCoy out...But then, what a way to attract a male audience.
Just wished she wasn't used as a love interest though. Hopefully, in the next movie she doesn't need Spock and can stand on her own to feet. I want to see her on a away mission kicking someone's ass.
Of course it would be awesome to see other characters shine..can't wait to see what the writer's will come up with.
