Description

Now that I'm able to wrap things up with my Underground series, I decided it was the right time to post a few non-original ideas before the next one, starting off with a contest entry by , where the contest is basically create an alien wildlife from scratch. For those who are curious and wants to enter, here's the journal entry: Alien Wildlife ContestFor those who are interested, I am holding a contest where participants create an animal from an alien planet and whoever wins will get to request me a drawing of their choice.
Rules
You must make a bio for the creature, listing the planet it comes from, it's environment, what it eats, how it behaves, and the adaptations it has. It can be any kind of creature. Carnivore, herbivore, terrestrial, aquatic, aerial, mammalian, reptilian, insect, avian, etc. Be creative, the weirder the better.

Anyway, here is my creation, the Groganon, a tiger-frog hybrid that is quite dangerous on both land and water and here is a detail background of the species as well:

Name: Groganon

Type: Tiger-Amphibian Hybrid

Planet: Lissamphibia 20

Environment: Humid and Moisture

Diet: Carnivore, consisting of Flouse (mouse-fly), Cratts (crab-rats) or Drogogs (dragon-dogs), the latter being its natural enemy.

Behavior: Predatory

Adaptation: Can survive underwater for at least a few hours, before resurfacing and can do well on land to hunt its prey

Appearance: It was slightly larger than the typical land mammal, has a cat-like face and cat-like “ears” on the top of its head, with fangs protruding out of its lower jaws, mucus covering its olive green body and has webbed-like claws, as well as a long tongue that can latched onto its meals or used as a weapon to defend itself.

Database: The one of the main predators of the swampy-like planet Lissamphibia 20, the tiger-amphibian hybrid creature called the Groganon is master of swimming at high speed, especially when it dominates in the water, quickly swimming as fast as a ski jet, using its long, prehensile tongue to lash onto the mouse-fly creature Flouses or the timid crab-rat creatures Cratts, but it can also use its claw-like flippers against their natural enemies, the dragon-dog beasts Drogogs. Often times, these beast would hunt in a pack of three to obtain their meals, as well protect their territories and their mates, which can lay at least 1000 eggs, where they are protected by the mothers until they can learn to defend themselves. Because of their ferocious and predatory behavior, hunting them is consider a risk, using the elements of surprise to ambush and snag their preys deep into the water, before making them their next meals. In addition, they are given protection status in order to keep their species thriving and to avoid numerous poachers that would hunt them down, especially for their eggs, which fetches a high price in black markets across the galaxies.
