Days of Blissful Ignorance
Nuthatchkit was an accident. His parents were two rogues who did not wish to be tied down with a kit- so when he was finished nursing- they left him on the Oakclan border. The kit- while able to speak, had little to no social experience as his parents did not take the time with him. He now can be seen bumbling around with his mouth gaped open randomly at times. He also has a strange habit of gumming food despite his grown in teeth. He likes to chew on things because he was never taught what to eat and what not to eat. He questions CONSTANTLY and always ask why.

One day Nuthatchkit was laying in the nursery playing with his toes when out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash ofo something beautiful. He turned his head and saw a kit bouncing back and forth, her name was Asterkit, but to him, she was Softsilverfur. He had never seen fur as pretty as her's.
Radicalclan is born
As time went on, he was still interested in the pretty she-kit. One day, he and a few other kits were playing clans in the camp. There was BearBriarclan, DarkSleepyclan, and Nuthatch without one. When asked what clan he was in, he replied with a loud chant of "RADICALCLAN". He claimed Softsilverfur as his deputy, yet was without a medicine cat. When Briarkit called him a liar and said that Softsilverfur wasn't real, Nuthatchkit got emotional. The two started arguing and things got out of hand when Nuthatchkit lashed out and accidently clawed his denmate's nose.
Dark Times Call For Goofy Measure
Nuthatchkit felt incredibly guilty and sulked over it for days, ashamed of himself for hurting someone. When tragedy struck, and Asterkit's mom and three of her siblings were taken away, Nuthatchkit decided to stop his sulking and be there for Asterkit. He pretended like nothing happened and acted like he didn't even know her family had suffered to try and cheer her up. The two became close and he has no started realizing he likes spending time with her more than anyone else.
A Time Before the Hatred
During Nuthatchkit's time of sulking, he met Mosskit. The two had a rather, interesting first meeting, and after a strange turn around, the two came to an agreement that they would be allies.
Change Brings Both Smiles and Tears
Nuthatchkit now had friends and barely even thought about his parents anymore. When Elmstar called his name he could not have been happier. Both he and Asterkit were becoming apprentices together. He received Rabbitdash as a mentor. Much to his discouragement, Mosskit was not named an apprentice with him, but he promised to teach him everything he learned so he could be ahead of training when he finally became an apprentice.

One day, Nuthatchpaw got to go on a ptrol with alot of his friends with him. His usual eager to do pretty much anything was just as strong as always and when the group set off, Nuthatchpaw sped ahead. It was on this patrol where he met Mockingpaw, another apprentice who shared his positive outlook. The two became friends almost instaneously. As the patrol kept moving, Nuthatchpaw and Mockingpaw got seperated from the group. The two didn't realize they were alone until things started to go south. Playing on a frozen pond probably wasn't the best idea, and they realized it pretty quickly. Mockingpaw heard a crack underneath him, and Nuthatchpaw's curiosity led him to bound toward it to investigate, causing the ice to rupture underneath them. The frigid water stung immensely, and Mockingpaw was scrabbling with his front paws on the ice to try to pull himself up. Nuthatchpaw looked up from underneath the water and saw Mockingpaw frantically trying to get to solid ground. Nuthatchpaw didn't exactly think it through, infact it really was just instinct, but regardless, he found himself swimming fullspeed toward the surface and knocking Mockingpaw up onto the snow before he got himself up. Not even minutes after they were on land, Nuthatchpaw dumbly suggested, "That was fun let;s do it again!"

Nuthatchpaw's usual energetic vibe got to be too much on one particular cat, Sunkit. Bouncing around the ginger tabby, Nuthatchpaw was blabbering on and on about how his mom would be so happy to see how big he has gotten when she comes back for him. Ignoring Sunkit's growling to leave him alone, Nuthatchpaw persisted and kept bouncing about. When his heavy body landed on Sunkit's tail, his patience snapped and so did he. In a matter of seconds, Sunkit snarled at Nuthatchpaw how his mom left him to die and never cared about him to begin with, she probably hadn't thought about him once since she left him and is probably happy not to have him as a burden on her and that despite what she may have told him, she never loved him and she was never ever coming back for him. Nuthatchpaw's world shattered around him in a matter of seconds, and no ammount of laughter could ever bring him back to his lovable, jolly personality. When Asterpaw intervened and snapped back at Sunkit, Nuthatchpaw just walked away with a haunted expression. Asterpaw followed him outside the camp and tried to cheer him up, but it was no use. Nuthatchpaw had been broken, and while she may be able to get him to function again, he would never be the same again.
The Last Thing Worth Fighting For
After Nuthatchpaw's wake up call, he became very quiet and refused pretty much everyone's company; everyone save Asterpaw. He trained twice as hard because in his mind, she was the only good thing left in his life and he was going to be strong enough to protect her. He became pretty violent to anyone he thought would endanger her. Eventually she would settle him down and after talking for a while, he did start to calm down. However, Asterpaw was still the only thing in his life that made sense anymore. When he was about to take his assesment, he was horrified to learn that Asterpaw had to stick back in the apprentice's den. Wanting to be with Asterpaw more than ranking up, he intentionally failed his assessment.
Growing Up Together
Nearing the end of his apprenticeship, this time with Asterpaw at his side, Nuthatchpaw started to make ammends, starting with Sunpaw. He forgave the tom for his brutal awakening and actually thanked him, because without him he woudln't be as grateful as he is to have Asterpaw in his life. Atlast the time came when he became a warrior with Asterpaw beside him. They became Asternose and Nuthatchcall.
