To The Moon seems good..... Β had a whole bunch of it on my Tumblr dash earlier. What's it about? This picture is so cute!

It's super amazing! It's a story-based rpg about two doctors (the cuties in this pic) who work for a company that can grant dying people's final wishes. The way this is done is through a machine, in which the doctors traverse through the patient's memory and change things until the wish comes true in the person's mind.Β
The story follows Neil Watts and Eva Rosalene (the cuties) as they must grant a dying old man's wish: to go to the moon (but he doesn't know why he wants to! The reason is so heart wrenching once you find out!) The game style is super interesting because they go backwards in the man's memory - from his old age, down to his childhood. They find lots of heartbreaking facts about his life, and it's really sad and touching.
Also some stuff happens between Neil and Eva. Not romantic stuff, but stuff that signals really important and emotional things that could happen in the sequel. (the sequel is not out yet 
Anyway, the game is $10, but since it's more story than gameplay it's pretty alright to watch a gameplay on youtube. (It's not as good in my opinion though) BUT IF YOU DO WATCH A GAMEPLAY WATCH MARKIPLIER BECAUSE HE NOTICED KEY FACTS THAT OTHER LET'S PLAYERS TOTALLY MISSED :U

Well, dang! sounds like a pretty complicated story! is it on steam? ill probably have to check it out. if i were to look for a lets play on youtube i wouldve most likely have chosen markiplier anyway xD
have you ever heard of the game transistor? its a pretty good game, too, id recommend it if you like scifi-y games. besides, the art and soundtrack are a+. its freakin amazing, even if you dont dig the gameplay or story.

Portal is actually considered one of the best games of all time often. You really, REALLY should play it (at least the first one! The second one is better yet!) if you watch a let's play, it's not really the same

I agree with Neon-Frost, Portal 2 is a whole lot better than the first one. There're a lot more complex characters and a detailed story. Not that the first one isn't good, but in my view it's more puzzles and gameplay than story while 2 is vice versa. I've found that a lot of people that don't regularly play video games enjoy Portal because of its puzzle-based gameplay rather than action/battle-type gameplay. But yeah, Portal's amazing. I say go for checking it out.

Well, it's not really part of the fandom, because it's actually so possible it's probably true! In the "rpg spoof" scene near the beginning, where the dr. you are playing as pretends to be part of a role-play against a squirrel, if you play as Neil, his HP is not full (symbolic that he is not all that healthy).
Now, I don't know if the lets-play you watched found this - because a lot didn't. I didn't until I played the game a second time. When Eva goes to get a piece of the roadkill, a bottle rolls out of the car. If you click on the bottle, Eva will see it is full of prescription painkillers. She confronts Neil about them (that is why he was running toward the car, he needed [or wanted] to get them). He makes up an awful excuse for taking such strong painkiller pills. Eva even accuses him of being addicted (Neil replies that he'd rather overdose than get caught up in that; and to me it sounds an awful lot like foreshadowing!)
Here is the crazy part: There is a LOT of evidence that Eva is in Neil's memory (and possibly Neil is in his own) At the ending of to the moon when Neil and Eva are on the bridge watching the rocket take off, there are TWO Neils. Yea. When does it occur that there is two of a doctor? When they are in a memory.Β
There is more evidence that pretty much makes this all official. Here is the thing: they are on the To the Moon minisodes! So in case you haven't seen them, I won't go into it ^^
